114: Matt Schlegel and Raising Self-Awareness
I invite guests to share personal stories about acts of leadership that help shape their lives. In Episode 114, Matt Schlegel describes his transition from individual contributor to manager. He talks about how he helped two teams with distinct cultures work together effectively. He then advises us on how to build the leadership muscle.
Prologue
Matt is the Managing partner at Schlegel Cascade, focusing on cost reduction. He is the Principle of Schlegel Consulting, where he provides consulting, coaching, and several workshops designed to help teams succeed through team cooperation. He is the author of Teamwork 9.0, which is written to propel teams to collaborate and perform amazingly!
01:26 Part 1: From Individual Contributor to Manager
Matt describes his transition from an individual contributor to a manager and how he started using the Enneagram.*
08:19 Part 2: Merging Two Distinct Cultures
13:31 Part 3: Building the Leadership Muscle
* Because of limited reliability and validity testing, Unlabeled Leadership and Gary DePaul do not endorse any personality typologies, systems, or tests. However, the study of personality, what people are like, and human individuality is worth exploring, especially when the study opens positive communications among groups of people.

112: Giving Thanks for 111 Episodes
In Episode 112, I express my gratitude for all the listeners, supporters, and guests who enabled Unlabeled Leadership to continue. I share a blooper and an excerpt from Kim Ruyle’s episode about giving thanks.
Prologue
Unlabeled Leadership has listeners from 65 Countries, 44 States + the District of Columbia in the United States, and 603 cities or territories. 30 media platforms distribute episodes, including KLDR Online (Leadership Development Radio) out of St. Louis, Missouri.
Of the 111, I have had four solo episodes, 99 guests, 7 guests who have been on two episodes, one episode with Don Kirkey and Ajay Pangarkar. 11 guests are veterans from the United States armed forces, including law enforcement.
I saved one blooper clip in which two cats interrupted Ed Muzio and me in Episode 33. The clip did not make the final recording.
