Kindled Podcast | Truth and Grace, Boldly
Haley Williams
Kindled Podcast exists to speak truth and grace boldly to cultural, theological and political issues from a Biblical worldview. Speaking the truth in love with boldness, we will grow to become the mature body of Christ.
Love for God is kindled in our hearts as we are transformed by His power. May these conversations spur us on to love and good works so those near us and far would know that our Lord God is King. "They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." Revelation 12:11

Today I'm chatting with Michael Moore (AKA Honest Youth Pastor) about what makes a good sermon and what makes a terrible one! Lots to discuss today!! You'll love this episode.

Regaining Biblical Clarity in a Secular Culture | Natasha Crain | Ep. 180
Welcome to Your Place in a Worldview Minority! It’s no longer “normal” to be a Christian in our culture. We are surrounded by secularism both outside and inside the church, but we don't have to be fooled: secularism is anything but neutral.
Listen in as I discuss with Natasha Crain how believers can reclaim a Biblical worldview and stand firm on the authority of God's word in a culture that is mounting its pressures of secular individualism every day.

Roman Catholicism vs. Christianity | Mike Gendron | Ep. 179
In this episode Haley interviews convert and missionary pastor Mike Gendron, who compares and contrasts the teachings of the Catholic church with the 66 books of the Bible.
As a former Catholic himself, Mike’s apologetics and evangelism ministry, “Proclaiming the Gospel,” is a must-bookmark resource. Mike is the author of two books, Preparing for Eternity and Contending for the Gospel, and has published 7 Gospel tracts and a set of Gospel Cards to reach those who are perishing.
We cover the basic teachings of the Catechism of the Catholic church as it relates to many topics including: sin, salvation, communion/the eucharist, heaven, hell, works, righteousness, sacrifice and many more topics.
It's important to not only understand our own faith, but also the theology of religions like Catholicism which uses a lot of the same terminology but different definitions. Mike Gendron explains this and more!

Clean Energy Myths & the Real Human Exploitation Behind It | Ronald Stein | Ep. 177
Stephen Colbert says you should stop being poor and buy a Tesla, Biden refuses to drill on US soil and is brokering new oil deals with the East... all in the name of clean energy! But WHAT IS IT? And can it work? As gas prices increase and the Biden administration continues to urge clean energy policies like the Green New Deal, you might be wondering what's really true about clean energy. This episode will help explain the correct terminology we SHOULD be using instead of clean "energy." You're guaranteed to learn something in this one.
Ronald Stein is an internationally published columnist and energy consultant, and a policy advisor for The Heartland Institute. His latest book, Clean Energy Exploitations: Helping Citizens Understand the Environmental and Humanity Abuses That Support Clean Energy, is a Nominee for the 2022 Pulitzer Prize competition in the General Nonfiction category.

Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Standards & Why You Should Care | Chris Talgo | Ep. 176
Chris Talgo joins me to explain Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Standards to us like we're 5! No really - this is an extremely EASY to understand explanation of what ESG standards are and why we should (must) care.
We discuss when they came into being, what they aim to do, how they are being leveraged by global elites to reconstruct society and change our economy and why liberty and freedom-loving individuals must push back against them.
Step 1 is knowing what they are though - so don't miss this episode!

Rebelling Against Mediocre Motherhood | Abbie Halberstadt | Ep. 174
M Is Not for Mediocre
The narrative around motherhood today can be a real downer. Instead of rallying to uplift each other or rejoicing in what God has done in their lives, moms often connect over memes about how “kids are the worst.”
Mother-of-ten Abbie Halberstadt believes that Christ has so much more to offer you and your family than empty validation of first bumps for surviving another day that worldly culture brings to the the table.

The Over-Politicization of Christian Churches for Conservative Politics | Reagan Scott | Ep. 173
Talking today with Reagan Scott on how many Christian churches have become overly-politicized. This is due in large part to pastors on both sides of the political aisle partnering with political organizations and leveraging their platform/captive audience for political gain rather than preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
My audience will be aware of this practice in liberal-leaning churches over the last couple years, but today Reagan and I focus on how more recently, we've seen this phenomenon in conservative Christian churches, due in some part thanks to organizations like Turning Point USA's new program "Turning Point Faith" which aims to go into temples, mosques and churches to get people to register to vote, start chapters within youth groups and 'activate their faith in the public square.' We discuss the danger of this ecumenical movement to sharing the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
