This week, the CSO released information from its Recreation in Nature series, looking at the activities we got up to in the great outdoors last summer. Lurching from threats of terminating Tesla’s governmental subsidies to claims that Trump was “in the Epstein files”, Scott Lucas, Professor of International Politics at the Clinton Institute, University College Dublin, joins Anton to discuss where it all went wrong for Elon Musk and Donald Trump.

40 years ago on June 5th, 1985, the Chicago Cubs hosted the Atlanta Braves at Wrigley Field in the smash hit 1980s movie 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'. Henry McKean was on the streets of Dublin, asking people if they ever skipped school like Mathew Broderick did all those years ago.

The prospect of industrial action in the autumn in second-level schools has been raised following the ASTI voting to reject a package of supports aimed at easing the roll-out of Leaving Cert reforms. Carl O'Brien, Education Editor of The Irish Times, joins Anton to discuss the issues.

Anton is joined by Eoin Ó Broin, Sinn Féin TD for Dublin Mid-West & party spokesperson for Housing, to discuss the number of people in emergency homeless accommodation across Ireland increasing to a record of 15,580, as well as the housing crisis more broadly.

Just weeks before a planning decision is expected from An Bord Pleanála over the future of nighttime flights at Dublin Airport, Fingal County Council has reignited High Court proceedings over existing flight restrictions.
