Yesterday, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals paused a court order that would have required President Trump to return control of thousands of California National Guard troops in Los Angeles to Governor Gavin Newsom. This comes on the back of several days of violence and unrest in the wake of a marked increase in detentions and deportations taking place all across the US by ICE officials. Adrian Weckler, Tech Editor of the Irish Independent & presenter of The Big Tech Show Podcast, who is in Los Angeles, joins Anton to get the latest.

Gregg Carlstrom, Middle East Correspondent for The Economist, joins Anton to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East as Iran returns fire following Israel's attack on Tehran yesterday.

President Trump has authorised the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles, amid ongoing protests in response to an immigration crackdown which has seen tens of thousands of people detained or deported from the United States. Highlighting this renewed crackdown, we also saw reports that a Donegal man is facing deportation, having joined the waiting list for green card applications three years ago. John Foley, Immigration Attorney based in Boston &Paul Brandus, West Wing Reports founder and White House Bureau Chief, join Anton to discuss.
