Caleb Simpson's Insane Story of Persistence
E19: Caleb Simpson, the TikToker who asks people how much they pay in rent and if he can see their apartments, has a great story! It's inspiring because Caleb persevered for years, oftentimes living paycheck to paycheck, sometimes not even being able to afford food except for Cup of Noodles. He got his break when he asked himself, "I'm spending so much time making videos for other people, why don't I do it myself?" - And the way he made his video initially pop off is crazy as well! This is a great story that's inspiring and motivating for any entrepreneur.

Fousey Takeaways, Content Inc, and MrBeast's Failed Prediction
E18: Ten years ago, FouseyTube was: Consistently viral on Youtube - I even met him a bunch of times at conferences we were both invited to. Making a lot of money. Recognized and YouTube famous. Two years ago, he was: Universally hated. Broke. Overcoming various addictions. Still YouTube famous, but irrelevant. Now he's: Loved, even by his haters. YouTube and Twitch famous. Relevant again. Making money. Here's what he did: Started streaming live on Twitch 24/7 - even while he sleeps. Became humble. Frequently admits he was a PoS. The main takeaways: Be nice. Find a unique spin on a niche. Nobody with Fousey's unique story streams EVERYTHING and shares EVERYTHING. He literally shares EVERYTHING... all the time... 7 days a week. This is the same thesis I have with my podcast. I'm doing it daily. Why? Very few people of my experience and charisma do daily podcasts. Most do 2x/week or 1x/week. In fact, this pairs well with a content philosophy that changed my life when I learned about it one year ago. The Content Inc. Philosophy Basically, there are 4 variables to center your content around: Niche Spin on the niche Platform Content type Let's take Miss Excel (who's now building a several hundred million dollar Microsoft Office empire) as an example. Niche (when she started): Excel training. Spin: Fun, non-corporate style. Platform: TikTok. Content type: Mobile video. In Fousey's case - his SPIN is 24/7 streaming. For my podcast, my spin is daily episodes. The high-frequency spin is hard to do but typically results in learnings and growth FAST. Two days ago, I did a deep dive to see daily podcasts that failed. They all failed because they made it too much work, and it stopped being fun. So if you take on this high-frequency spin, make sure to keep it fun and easy enough for you. Otherwise, you won't make it. It's an important lesson to avoid burnout. As for MrBeast: he was certain his Reacts channel would be far bigger than his Gaming channel. He made this prediction two years ago. It was wrong. It turned out to be the opposite. Even MrBeast gets content predictions wrong - so if you get something wrong, don't beat yourself up! Keep on going. Make it fun and stay consistent.

Fousey's Comeback Story, a Vanderbilt Adventure, and the NYC Relationship Problem
E17: FouseyTube is having a major revival. He's from the Gilded age of YouTube and used to be a viral star. He became an alcoholic and a jerk, blowing all his money while slowly becoming irrelevant. People forgot about him. Now he's turning a new leaf and showing it all, 24/7, on Twitch. He's streaming his life every hour of every day and sharing all his fears and vulnerabilities. He recently went on the H3 Podcast and then cried afterward in his car as his father told him, "I love you." He's having an intense comeback and everybody is rooting for him, even his initial detractors. + I share an exciting Vanderbilt story about The Breakers, one of their mansions. + I share what this Vanderbilt story teaches us about networking and relationships: a small amount of deep relationships with great people is better than many shallow relationships with many people. You want to be remembered.

I've Been Tracking Everything in My Life for Over a Decade
E16: Here's what I track: - Everything I go to every day. - Who I meet. - What they do. - My TikTok follower growth. - Where I am. - Misc thoughts I have that are important for me. Here's how I measure and track my life and how you can do it too.

The Air AI Viral Marketing Campaign and a Successful First TikTok Live
E15: Air AI has recently been talked about by the cofounder of Airbnb and many other tech influencers. This is because they're going viral from a marketing campaign that anybody can do… alone. I deep dive into exactly how they've blown up, how this can be applied to other fields, not just SaaS, and who Air AI even is. Then I talk about my first time using TikTok Live this morning. I tried TikTok Live with my 35,000 followers this morning and 1,000 people showed up for the under 1 hour stream. I learned a lot and would consider this experiment a success. Here's how I'll improve on it next time.

Jobs and Altman - Quick to Make Hard Decisions
E14: If you make that hard decision now, you'll feel better. Steve Jobs made hard decisions fast. Sam Altman says the best founders are decisive and responsive. Our gut will tell us to do the scary thing. We like Nike because they tell us to just do it. Worry more about doing it and trust that your intuition will improve over time.

Billionaire Stories & Top-of-Mind Awareness
E13: I learned what billionaires talk about with other billionaires this morning. They talk about: Wealth preservation. How to ensure future generations are responsible. Philanthropy. The way that I learned was cool. Then I talk about top-of-mind awareness: what it is, what it can lead to, and how to get it. Achieving top-of-mind awareness is my new obsession now, as it's where the biggest opportunities get unlocked.

Using SEO to Exploit ChatGPT and Bard
E12: Many people think ChatGPT and Bard will kill SEO. It will. But not at the bottom of the funnel where the purchase intent is. Bottom-of-funnel SEO will remain wildly lucrative past the death of search engines. This type of SEO works incredibly well with both search engines AND generative AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Bard, and Bing. In today's episode I explain what bottom-of-funnel SEO is and why it's a tremendous hedge against AI. And for a bonus, "It's better to be optimistic and wrong, than pessimistic and right."

Brain Reprogramming, Dudewithasign, and the Marketing Funnel
E11: My friend, Yuriy of Darngoodads.com, sent me some gold for changing your mindset to wanting to work more. I then discuss how Dudewithsign originated from F Jerry - the Instagram Meme Viral Marketing Agency page. If you're curious about the origins of the famous Dude With A Sign meme, this explains it. Finally I explain the marketing funnel: Top of the funnel. Middle of the funnel. Bottom of the funnel. I give examples of marketing I've done at each part of the funnel and touch upon how the most hidden opportunities are at the bottom of the funnel.

When It Rains It Pours - Not Giving up on Prospecting and a Big Leap in Content Automation
E10: A friend's prospects started closing all at once after prospecting with no progress for five weeks. I talk about how I record these Podcasts through Twitter Spaces and why I do things this way. And I discovered a major content automation trick this morning, which will: 1. Save me a lot of effort. 2. Save me a lot of time. 3. Make my content better. I'm hyped. What's interesting about this automation is I got it from a different area of my life: these daily podcasts. Had I not started the daily podcasts, I wouldn't have discovered this trick. These lessons illustrate the power of consistency. Getting 1% better each day is a fallacy. It actually happens in bursts and leaps. But when it does happen, it's dramatic and refreshing. So stick with it! Stay consistent.
