Two Children of Benjamin Keach | Particular Pilgrims
Studying the lives of children of well known Particular Baptist pastors can be instructive. In doing so, we are reminded of several important and practical Scriptural truths.
One is the great privilege of growing up in a God-fearing home. This is balanced by the truth that Gospel-privilege does not guarantee salvation. Yet another is that finishing well is better than merely beginning well. Today we’ll look at the lives of two of Benjamin Keach’s children, Elias and Hannah, and see these principles illustrated.
Introducing Particular Pilgrims: Stories from Reformed Baptist History told by Ron Miller, Pastor of Covenant Baptist Church of Clarksville, TN and a longtime student and collector of Particular Baptist History. Pastor Miller also serves on the Board of Directors of Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary.

The Ministry of Robert and James Haldane | The Narrated Puritan
In the year 1807, James Haldane, after having sprinkled an infant, was accosted by his little son, a child of six years old, with the pertinent question, “Father, did that child believe?” “No,” said the surprised parent, “why do you ask me such a question?” “Because, father, I have read the whole of the New Testament, and I find that all who were baptised, believed. Did the child believe?” It was enough. God’s simple truth, which had been hidden from the wise and prudent, was revealed to the babe. The strange question, “Did the child believe?” haunted the mind of that father, until, after a thorough examination, he renounced his former errors, and was publicly immersed. His brother Robert soon followed his example." Quoted in Alexander Carson, Baptism, its Mode and Subjects.
The Narrated Puritan features weekly readings from Puritan history read by Tom Sullivan.

1689 2:3 - The Foundation of All Our Communion with God & Comfortable Dependence Upon Him
For our Baptist forefathers the doctrine of the Trinity was anything but mysterious and difficult with little practical application to daily life. No, rather, it was crucial to our communion with God and comfort in God. No passage in all the Bible shows this so richly as 2 Corinthians 13:14: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.”
Confessing the Faith is a theological and devotional walk through the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith with host Sam Waldron, Pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Owensboro, KY and President of Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary.

1689 2:3 - The Father is God, the Son is God, & the Spirit is God | Confessing the Faith
We must entertain exalted and majestic views of the Son of God and the Spirit of God as fully and without dilution God. We may worship them without moderation or reduction. We may trust their power and grace without reluctance or fear.
We must reject as unworthy of our Savior every doctrine which diminishes His true deity. He is not a lower case g God. He is capital G-O-D, God!
