The New Flesh returns with yet another Stephen King episode, and Brett and Joe are almost as sick of it as you probably are! Before Brett and Joe mostly disagree on the King-scripted 1989 PET SEMATARY, they catch up on the week that was, talk some bits, a little pieces, and a lot of music talk, including multiple references to Chumbawumba.

The seemingly never-ending streak of Stephen King episodes lives on! Before Joe explains to Brett where MISERY, THE DARK HALF, and APT PUPIL go wrong, they go off on all the big Comic Con reveals, including the big BLAIR WITCH announcement. After that, Joe and Brett briefly discuss Netflix's STRANGER THINGS and Brett reviews the recent horror success LIGHTS OUT. Next week? PET SEMATARY!

This week, Joe sits down with longtime pal/comedian/cinephile Jared Jeffries to get the ball rolling on a series of Stephen King episodes. First up — David Cronenberg's THE DEAD ZONE. Before diving in, Joe and Jared ruminate on celebrities who have killed people (Matthew Broderick, nobody forgot!), discuss the futility of yet another 90s reboot, disparage flying cars, and dispense ancient Chinese wisdom. The New Flesh will return to form next week, whether you like it or not.

Brett and Joe are back with a long awaited re-evaluation of Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS, the most recent entry in the ALIEN franchise (well, sort of). Before the main event, Brett and Joe catch up after their time away, discuss the reemergence of horror remake culture, and again gush about GODS OF EGYPT. After pitching some fun sports horror movies (and revealing a sad truth about Brian De Palma), the PROMETHEUS talk begins, and boy is there a lot to dissect! Such themes!

The New Flesh takes a break from the ALIEN franchise and sits down with indie filmmaker Drew Bolduc, writer/director of cult favorite THE TAINT. Drew opens up and gets right into the nitty gritty by explaining the etymology of his name, and takes us through the process of how a movie as small as THE TAINT caught the attention of Troma. Joe asks all the right questions about production, and Brett mostly fawns over the fact that Troma HQ is down the street. Before the main event, Brett and Joe celebrate the return of John Carpenter to the HALLOWEEN franchise, disparage Vice, discuss the must-see documentary WEINER, and Brett clues Joe in on X -MEN: APOCALYPSE. There's not much to say about the Alien vs. Predator films, but your hosts have plenty of thoughts about Weezer , so it all evens out.

Ripley is back from the dead, and so is The New Flesh for another week! Brett and Joe tackle 1997's ALIEN:RESURRECTION, with a brief look back on ALIEN 3 and correcting a detail from last week's episode.
