#295 Signal School 6 | CR Mentor | Watch the video on Patreon

In one of the most productive signal schools yet, the Crown Refs Mentor Community puts in a ton of great mirror work practicing a whole list of common signals. We had over 10 officials working in unison so we hope you can pick up a lot of pointers both from their presentations and from the coaching that's being provided. There was a lot of individualized instruction for each official as well as big picture themes for the group to collectively benefit from.⁣ ⁣ Special thanks to Carmela Garcia, Nikki Vance, Taylor Hamm, Porsha Waddey, Jay Smith, Jason Hayes, David Stefaniak, Connor Schoenfeld, and Tyler McCabe.⁣ ⁣ 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆⁣ Patreon.com/crownrefs⁣ ⁣ 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲⁣ https://sideline.bsnsports.com/schools/new_york/hartsdale/crown-refs⁣ ⁣ 𝗕𝘂𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗮𝗿⁣ Refereestore.com

#294 Camp Clips 10 | Variety is the Spice of Life

The 10th installment of our Camp Clips series, gives an introduction to our signal school session, a referee workout designed to help officials improve their presentation of signals. The process of trying to master all aspects of the craft including all of the small things will make the biggest difference for you over the span of your career. ⁣ ⁣ We talk about why it's important to use multiple tweets on difficult plays, why you should use the 'stay here' signal on all levels and why you should experiment with these subtle variations to give your game more range and versatility. #293 Camp Clips 9 | B.T.T. | Born to Teach

In the 9th installment of our Camp Clips series, we explain the "ball before body/body before ball" concept and the benefits of utilizing the "hit to the head" signal. We cover a very useful strategy using the feet/foul/floor/flop concept which acts as a checklist for officials to more thoroughly officiate jump shot plays. ⁣ ⁣ We discuss the use of unapproved "hit to the head" signal for NFHS games and having patience on the held ball plays to give players a chance to out muscle their opponent. #292 Camp Clips 8 | An All-Inclusive Community for Officials | Join our Patreon community

Officiating is a sisterhood & brotherhood that helps you form life-long relationships and leads to high-levels of self development and growth as a human being. Will Fried gives us some of the biggest things he's gained from becoming an official and how it has positively changed his life. Crown Refs is an all-inclusive community that supports one another to the fullest. ⁣ ⁣ We are so proud of the camaraderie and positive culture that we have in the group and each member we add continues to embody those values. Thanks for being part of our family Will! If you disagree then you're deploying judgement towards a person's appearance rather than judgement towards their performance. It's wildly acceptable for players and coaches to have tattoos, so why can't officials??⁣ ⁣ 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆⁣ Patreon.com/crownrefs⁣ ⁣ 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲⁣ https://sideline.bsnsports.com/schools/new_york/hartsdale/crown-refs⁣ ⁣ 𝗕𝘂𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗮𝗿⁣ Refereestore.com

#291 Camp Clips 7 | Don’t Let the Game throw you off | Join our Community

In the 7th installment of our Camp Clips series, we jump in on a late game scenario where the officials discuss time, score, foul situation, and a proactive method to avoid an intentional foul. We discuss proper out-of-bounds mechanics, lowering your numbers to face-level, and not allowing any parts of the game to shock us or throw us off. ⁣ ⁣ For block/charge plays, we must certify the legality of the defender before the contact occurs to help guide you to the best decision. We also touched on proper rebounding mechanics, the correct way to signal when our partners ask for help, and remembering to keep the fingers tucked when pointing. Have a great rest of your day!⁣ ⁣ 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆⁣ Patreon.com/crownrefs⁣ ⁣ 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲⁣ https://sideline.bsnsports.com/schools/new_york/hartsdale/crown-refs⁣ ⁣ 𝗕𝘂𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗮𝗿⁣ Refereestore.com
