Kelly Cheng is a beach volleyball player with Team USA. She and her partner, Sara Hughes, won the gold medal at the 2023 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, establishing them as medal contenders for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Cheng competed in the 2020-21 Tokyo Games with Sarah Sponcil, finishing in ninth place. Though they’ve spent time with other partners, Cheng and Hughes have a long, winning history together. They claimed the bronze medal at the 2013 U19 World Championships, silver at the 2014 U21 World Championships, and back-to-back NCAA championships in 2016 and 2017 in college at USC. Cheng was named the AVP Tour’s Most Valuable Player in 2022, and the tour’s Best Offensive Player in 2022 and 2023. Lex Luger is a former professional wrestler in the WCW and WWE. He is a 2-time WCW World Heavyweight champion and in 1993, was voted the most popular wrestler of the year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated. Prior to his professional wrestling career, Luger was a pro football player with the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL, the Green Bay Packers in the NFL and three different teams in the United States Football League (USFL). LaKisha Williams is a track and field coach at Porter Ridge High School in North Carolina. In college, she was a track athlete at Kent State where she met her future husband, Jason Williams. Together, they opened a bakery in 2012 and partnered with the LeBron James Foundation to create a "Just a Kid from Akron" cherry cola cupcake. She is currently coaching 250 track athletes at Porter Ridge and working with an additional 170 athletes at the Charlotte Heat Track Club. Today on the podcast, LaKisha Williams shares about her background as a Division I track athlete and her love for coaching. She also opens up about the sudden passing of her husband and how she relied on her faith in Jesus to navigate through grief. James Winchester is the long snapper with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was undrafted in 2013 after playing his college football at the University of Oklahoma. He was signed by the Chiefs in 2015 and has been their long snapper since. Scott Nagy was named the head men’s basketball coach at Southern Illinois on March 28, 2024. He began his coaching career in the late 1980’s with Illinois before becoming a head coach in 1995 at South Dakota State. After 11 years, he moved to Wright State, where he coached from 2016-2024. As a division one head coach, Nagy has led his teams to five NCAA Tournament berths. Today on the podcast we talk to coach Nagy about his journey of faith and coaching. He discusses his upbringing in a Christian home, his struggles with performance-based faith, and the recent decision to move to Southern Illinois.
