My Thoughts Monday #158- Jay DeMayo- Coaches Just Are Not Quite Ready
“If people aren’t willing to listen to simple rational thought, in the most simple rational situations, the idea of utilizing complex metrics makes zero sense.”This My Thoughts Monday is brought to you by Vald Performance. Vald’s constant drive to help coaches find better information to drive more educated directions is second to none. Check out this weeks Metric Minute and make sure to go check out all their great products at: www.valdperformance.com As I continue on my pandemic reflections, this week I discuss one that kind of hit me like a ton of bricks. One of the topics that kept popping up during quarantine is the need for monitoring and tracking. This was even questioned by some because it’s something that many feel like we should have been doing all along. This is the topic of this weeks My Thoughts Monday. As we look at how sport coaches have handled these “adjustments”, or maybe we should say should NOT have handled them, it raises the question. Are sport coaches actually ready for monitoring and bigger metrics? Today, I give the reasons why I don’t think they are. ENJOY THE CONTENT?
