E130: Live Coaching: Make a Daily Schedule that Fits Your ADHD Brain and Mom Life with Time Management Mastery Student Amanda

Not all experts are created equal. There's literally an expert for EVERYTHING under the sun. Productivity, positivity, mindfulness, fashion, health, wellness, love, parenting… Pick any topic and there's someone shouting their opinions about it. Yes, they offer tons of information, insight, and guidance and help LOTS of people. The problem is…many of these experts are spouting advice from a neurotypical brain FOR a neurotypical brain. Now don't get it twisted…I'm not saying ADHD brains can't latch on and get great value from some of those experts. What I'm saying is there's a big gap in the information given and how ADHD brains processes that information. And for ADHD moms who are trying to get their crap together and finally start having FUN being as a mother…all of this "expert" advice can leave them feeling frustrated, defeated, and totally helpless. Have you ever found a system from the latest productivity book and tried implementing it in your life and it just didn't work? Did you think, "I'm trying all these things they say to do…WHHHHY won't these strategies work for me!?" Well, on today's episode we'll talk with an ADHD mom and Time Management Mastery student, Amanda, about her journey with ADHD. She talks about how she kicked non-ADHD standards out the window and opted for ADHD systems created BY and FOR ADHD brains. We cover #allthethings including: - Common ADHD misdiagnosis (bipolar, anxiety, depression) - How Time Management Mastery was developed and how it helps - Why learning to manage our time is important for our kids - Creating a system that builds in FLEXIBILITY for ADHD - Overcoming obstacles and finding JOY in being an ADHD mom If you often struggle with managing your day-to-day life…I encourage you to join the waitlist for Time Management Mastery for ADHD Moms. Amanda's story is a true testament of what can happen when ADHD moms finally decide to do things differently and create systems that work for THEIR minds. The waitlist is still open for the next session of Time Management Mastery for ADHD Moms. Be the FIRST to know when doors open and get a special BONUS for being an early bird for once. E129: 3 Steps for Getting Your Crap Together! Time Management for ADHD Moms with Guest Host and ADHD Mom Entrepreneur Angel McElhaney

Mother Necessity has dropped a lot of babies on this earth. When was the last time you learned something new or figured out a major problem out of pure necessity? Like, if you didn't figure something out and FAST - you would lose your ever-lovin' mind? or job? or partner? Today is a treat: ADHD Mom Entrepreneur Angel McElhaney guest hosts the podcast and asks me all about how and why I created the framework behind Time Management Mastery for ADHD Moms. This system was born out of SHEER necessity (for my sanity) and now it's helping dozens of ADHD moms figure out how to work WITH their ADHD brains and build a daily routine that fits their special flavor of ADHD + their family dynamics. Back in the day, I was in a place where mothering was not fun. All my pre-mom skills were not working and I was falling apart at the seams. I felt like I couldn't keep up, and I was in a perpetual state of failure. I was one more sensory overload input away from a total MOM-SPLOSION. It was a hard tour of duty, and I often wanted to give up. I KNOW there are many of you reading this right now who are currently in that trench that feels like the pit of despair. Big hugs, mama. After I finally realized what I was doing wasn't in alignment with what my ADHD MOM brain NEEDED, I decided "the heck with normal...I'm gonna do this MY WAY." While I'd been trying to organize my time, I was using 2 unworthy starting points: A) what *the experts* say is the right way and B) my previous phase of life, aka, a non-mom. And motherhood changes things (as if you hadn't noticed, lol!) So, what did I do? I used my super creative problem-solving ADHD brain and unpacked what was REALLY happening during my day that made everything feel so overwhelmingly scattered and #hotmess vibes. Through my own ADHD knowledge and a TON of outside research, I built a system for myself that eventually developed into a framework that has been helping DOZENS of ADHD moms finally feel like they have the tools to manage their days like a totally in control boss. The waitlist opened today for the next session of Time Management for ADHD Moms. E123: Why It's Difficult to Prioritize Your To-Do List and Actually Stick with your Plan as a Mom with ADHD

Feeling stuck is temporary...when you have the right tools. Understanding how YOUR brain actually works makes it easier to establish systems and create a plan that will work for YOUR brain. Plain and simple. Simple...but not necessarily easy. Let's just say ADHD and executive function aren't great friends. What does that mean for us? It means we end up fighting our brains in a battle royale of figuring out what the MOST important thing is we should be doing at any given time. Many times it feels like we're stuck trying to solve the longest word problem in 12th-grade algebra. Ain't nobody got time for that! ESPECIALLY for moms. It's a real challenge for ADHD brains. But if I had to guess I'd say you're the type of mom that's always up for a good challenge. In today's episode, we talk all about why moms with ADHD struggle with prioritizing and what to do so you can actually stick with your plan. Did you know there's a place where you can get your calendar and to-do list organized one step at a time, so you enjoy more time with your kids while feeling confident + capable in your day... even when your ADHD hijacks your plan.
