Ray is the co-founder and CEO of Paxful, a platform that provides an open market place with over 350 ways to buy and sell bitcoin. Ray and his company have been a big part of providing solutions for those in underserved areas of the world, attempting to join and transact in the bitcoin economy. Having met Ray briefly at Bitcoin 2021, and after watching some of his other interviews, I thought he might have an interesting story to tell, and I was right. I REALLY enjoyed this conversation. It was a pleasure to connect with someone who's had as many interesting life experiences as Ray. If you've been hanging out on twitter you may have seen several people with Laser eyes imposed over their profile pictures. Though this started as a meme around bitcoin reaching 100k dollars in price (#LaserRayUntil100k), it has become a signal for ones support of what bitcoin represents. Recently even some politicians in the US have been showing their alignment with bitcoin by changing their profile photos to the laser eyes.
