In reflection of building Mosaic for the past 30 years, Mosaic Lead Pastor Erwin McManus dives into the core mission we have as a community of faith as we look forward to the next 30 years -- to continually step into the unknown as we discover the new that God has for us. In the 4th part of the Beautiful One series, Pastor Erwin McManus emphasizes the power of having a desperate faith. Jesus' friends had planned a dinner in his honor, one of them being Lazarus, who Jesus had recently raised from the dead.  In the scriptures it says, "The chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well (as Jesus), for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him." Though the dinner was in celebration of Jesus, Lazarus' story was undeniably the centerpoint of the occasion, and it was his miracle that drew others closer to Jesus.
