If you want to know how to use analytics to increase your end of the year blog income, this is the episode for you! Who doesn't need more money over the holidays? As we approach the end of the year, I always recommend bloggers dust off their holiday content and give it a refresh. But a good question to ask is what posts should you update, and how do you do it successfully during this unusual holiday season? I've got my friend and SEO expert, Paula Rollo, back on the show to share how to use analytics to guide you, whether that be Google Trends, Google Search Console, or Google Analytics. The goal is to create content that you are confident will do well for you—that will help drive traffic to your site and help you sell during the holidays. We also talk about how to strategically go after high traffic keywords in your niche, so you can continue to build your traffic from now into 2021. With this strategy, it's all about the long game, creating individual pieces of content that support the larger keywords you're targeting. With a little forethought and patience, this is definitely achievable. Listen to the episode to learn how step-by-step. Then please reach out and let me know which strategy from the episode resonates with you the most, and how you're upping your game in Q4. #138: How To Build A Profitable Business That Grows Organically

Today I'm talking with Damon Oates from DecoExchange about how to build a profitable business by following your audience's lead. What is an emergent business? An emergent business is one that "emerges" out of your audience's wants and needs. You come up with a hypothesis of what you think your customers will buy from you. You launch your offering, and test the response. Then you listen closely to what your customers tell you about your product. You continue to iterate based on their suggestions. Then you discover what other "adjacent" problems your customers are having, and solve them, too, by selling them solutions. The exciting part about building an "emergent" business is that you don't know the direction your business is going to take, but you follow your customers wants and needs and continual feedback to keep building. Damon's business is such a great example of what this looks like. I also think you're going to love what a caring, sweet person he is.Definitely listen to this episode and reach out and tell me what your biggest insights are. #133: How to Find a Creative Membership Business Model (Rebroadcast)

If you are looking to find a creative membership business model, you'll find this episode very inspiring. This is a rebroadcast of one of my most popular episodes from the last year. Selling a membership program to your audience is a great way to monetize your online business, because it brings in returning revenue month after month. My guest, Tamara Bennett, from Southern A-Door-nments Decor, has built a successful membership business, teaching people how to paint door hangers. I didn't even know what a door hanger was until I met Tamara, which shows that a membership program can be successful in tiny niches on the internet. As an online entrepreneur, you job is to figure out what your niche wants and will pay for, and then provide it to them. For Tamara, her audience wanted to paint creative home decor, and do it in a community setting on Zoom. Who would have known that was a successful business? And guess what, it was! If you want to learn more about setting up a successful subscription business, check out episode #127 and episode #129 with Sarah Williams. Read the transcript for "How to Find a Creative Membership Business Model (Rebroadcast)" Top 4 Takeaways from Episode #133 Going live on Facebook is a great way to build an audience of enthusiasts. If you've built an audience on Facebook, you can start monetizing before starting a blog, but then we recommend you start one. Find your own lane and try not to compare yourself to others.
