Join me as I unravel common struggles related to our behavior, thought patterns, emotions, and relationships while pulling cards to facilitate growth and to help create the life and relationships we all desire.

Logic & Magic: Finding Harmony in Opposition
This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, I tackle a topic I think many of you have pondered yourselves. How do we find harmony while we’re rooted in logic, but long for magic?
A Symposium member reached out to me recently and posed an insightful question. I had already planned on doing some work with The Hanged Man this week, and I felt her question paired so well with that anchor.
I begin the episode by exploring the concept of logic and magic through the lens of The Hanged Man. Then The Hierophant, Hermit, and Ace of Cups all make their presence known. I spend quite a bit of time talking about Dialectical Behavior Therapy and dialectical thought and how that seems to be the most appropriate avenue for finding harmony in opposition.
The question asked is below:
“Hello! I have a question and I think it is a difficult one, but I do not know who I can talk with. In general there are two sides inside of me. I believe in logic. I understand how Tarot cards and horoscopes are working from the psychological side. I know deeply why I am using them and how it helps.
But there is also another side of me who is really interested in all the spiritual things. About mystery and energy flow. And it is more about chaos theory and that everything has meaning. And this part makes me believe in all "magic" things.
So my question - how do you manage these two sides and have a clear mind for decisions?”
I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this!

The Psychology of Money with Mimi Cirbusova
This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, Mimi Cirbusova joins me to explore the personal stories and baggage we carry around about money and personal finances.
Mimi is brilliant at taking a topic often dominated by shame and infusing it with compassion and understanding. We use tarot to help us explore our money scripts (take the quiz here), find out what experiences contribute to our money stories, discuss how to regain a sense of financial power when you’re feeling anxious and overwhelmed.
I’m surprised and not surprised that we both somehow pull all of the cups for this episode…but it makes sense. Money is such a delicate topic that often brings up a ton of emotions and discomfort. Let us know if you ended up pulling cups alongside of us too!
Mimi will be hosting an exclusive workshop on the same topic inside The Symposium this month AND we will be LIVE on Instagram on Thursday Nov. 9th at 6pm ET. So come hang out with us!
You can learn more about Mimi by visiting MeadowSweetMoney.com or by following her on Instagram @MeadowSweetMoney.

Justice & Cognitive Dissonance
This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, I have an epiphany about the Justice card. You’ll hear me realize why this card has always frightened me, made me squirm, and want to shove it back in the deck (or in the trash) and pull again. It was such a profound moment, even my partner was like… “Oh sh*t!”
I tackle the psychological concept of cognitive dissonance and somehow explore Temperance, Five of Swords, Seven of Wands, Nine of Wands, Queen of Swords, and The Fool all within a relatively short amount of time.
Side note: Thank you all for making this space encouraging, safe, and uplifting so that I knew it would be okay to share my own personal experience with this card so publicly.

The Reality of The Wheel of Fortune: A conversation with Sarah Thibault
This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, join me for a candid and personal conversation about the Wheel of Fortune and how we can humanize an often elusive, or superficial archetype. Sarah Thibault, host of The Side Woo podcast joins me and together we talk about how we can reclaim the Wheel of Fortune by viewing it through the lens of power and control, karma, comparison, radical acceptance, and ritual. Yes - all of that. And somehow it all works.
We also explore traditional and modern depictions of this archetype while exploring how the images pertain to modern emotional and psychological experiences - like navigating the social media algorithm and not losing our inherent sense of value in the process.
To learn more about Sarah, check out her podcast The Side Woo, subscriber to her substack Art Date, and browse her captivating artwork.

Healing Anxiety with Horror: A Conversation with Candis Green
This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, I’m talking to one of the coolest therapists in Canada! Candis Green from Many Moons Therapy joins me to explore the unconventional coping methods of horror for healing anxiety and regulating our nervous system.
We explore the spectrum of horror, how it can help us learn to regulate our nervous systems, discuss what the window of tolerance is, and somehow pull cards in the process. This was such a fun conversation full of valuable insight into how tarot archetypes relate to anxiety and coping with anxiety, and also unexpecting ways spooky media can actually help us heal.
Throughout the episode the Three of Cups, Nine of Cups, Queen of Cups (omg so many cups), Temperance, and The Magician make an appearance.
Decks used: Vlad Dracula Tarot and Trick or Treat Tarot

Revealing The Shadow: A Conversation with Thomas Witholt
This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, I sit down with Thomas Witholt from Hermit's Mirror to create a space for us to unravel aspects of the shadow self - specifically as it relates to difficult emotions such as anger and fear.
Thomas brings in a Jungian and Buddhist approach to the shadow that helps to soften the edges on a topic that most of us find so uncomfortable.
We start off by exploring emotional power dynamics of the shadow and the concept of reparenting and building self-compassion through The Emperor, The Empress, the Six of Cups and The Lovers.
Tarot eventually leads us into a discussion on anger through the archetype of the Knight of Swords and the King of Wands reversed. We discuss how anger can emerge as reactivity, or stem from unmet needs, feeling a sense of injustice, or a boundary violation. Thomas also beautifully discusses the elemental components of the cards and how it relates to the importance of self-reflection.
I invite you to pull cards alongside us and allow your shadow self to join the conversation to explore when it emerges and what to do when it does.

Healing from Betrayal: How Do We Trust Again & Repair?
This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, the difficult topic of betrayal and the arduous process of learning to trust again is explored through the anchors of Strength and The Empress reversed.
I explore the pain and fear associated with infidelity, including abandonment wounds, rejection, and scarcity. The cards help guide me towards a discussion on repairing trust, what that can look like and how to be realistic about the non-linear process of repair after betrayal.
It seems like all the folks I admire get brought up in this episode with quotes from Esther Perel, Pema Chodron, Andrew Huberman, and others. I even get nerdy for a minute and talk about the neuroscience behind betrayal.
The Seven of Wands, Ace of Wands, and Four of Swords help us walk into the world of repair after a betrayal and keep us grounded, but also create space for hope for the future.
Decks used: Tarot Vintage and Tarot of The Abyss

Understanding Trauma: A Discussion on PTSD, C-PTSD, & Generational Trauma
This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, I spend time talking about some of the nuances of trauma including PTSD, C-PTSD, and generational trauma through the lens of The Chariot, Nine of Wands, Nine of Cups, Ten of Cups, and Three of Pentacles.
I surprise myself with the depth and connection between the archetype of, and symbolism within, The Chariot. As I pull additional cards throughout the episode, I explore what it is like to live with, cope with, and seek to heal trauma.
Topics of hypervigilance, suspicion, somatic effects, and behavioral patterns are touched on throughout.
Please note - this episode is just a brief overview of the topic of trauma and I plan to spend time diving into more specific components in future episodes.

The Alchemy of Language
This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, I sit down with Erin Jones, the owner of Hermit and The Moon, to explore the power, nuance, and healing properties of language.
This conversation was inspired by a meetup in The Symposium a while back where Erin challenged the use of the phrase “stalker card” and changed the way I view repeating cards. This got me thinking about the language used within and about tarot, so naturally I invited her to explore this with me on the podcast.
Erin and I invite you to join us while we pull cards and discuss the modern and traditional language used, the personal and societal effect that language has on us, and how we can step into a trauma-informed space when it comes to the alchemy of language and tarot.
To learn more about Erin and her offerings, visit her website www.hermitandthemoon.com or follow her on Instagram @hermit_and_the_moon
