TPS 67: Pete Evans On Living Healthy Everyday
This week we finally get to interview one of the most highly anticipated guests we’ve ever had on the show.
Our amazing audience generated a huge buzz when we posted to social media asking what they wanted
to find out about when they heard who we were interviewing and I will admit that Brett, Steve and I
might have all been a little bit excited in the lead up to today’s episode as well!
Today’s guest is an inspiration, motivator and an agent for positive change in food education. He
has exploded onto the Paleo scene with a sincere passion and integrity for what he does. He has just
released his eighth cookbook “Healthy Every Day” and is one of Australia’s most loved and popular
chefs, he also boasts health coach, media personality and author in his list of credentials and we could
probably write a ninth publication for him based on his achievements alone.
We are so excited and proud that one of Australia’s own is helping us to reshape the way we think about
food and are thrilled about the great work and publicity he is generating for the Paleo way of living.
Welcome to the show Pete Evans!

TPS 66: The Domestic Man – Russ Crandall Chats With Us At His Ancestral Table
The weeks guest discovered and adopted a new dietary lifestyle modelled after the Paleo diet back in 2010.
His motivation for doing this stemmed from a number of factors but was largely due to his desire to get
back to his primal roots and become “less domestic”.
We know how easy it is to get overwhelmed in the kitchen- not all of us are natural Master Chefs able
to whip up a gourmet and paleo friendly feast in a jiffy. What’s really cool about Russ is that on his
new found path towards a better way of eating, he discovered a solid theme and that was the tons of
delicious, healthy dishes out there, nestled in the pages of history. He discovered that he didn’t need to
invent new meals to stay compliant with his diet, but instead could just look back into our past to find
dishes that are naturally tasty and nutritious, because they were developed in a time before processed
foods. The great news is if he can do it we can do it!

TPS 64: Dr Ronesh Sinha – The South Asian Health Solution, A Culturally Tailored Approach To Living Primal
This week we’re talking with Dr Ronesh Sinha who has worked out a way to bring the benefits of a primal lifestyle to South Asian people to tackle the alarming rates of heart disease, diabetes, obesity and related conditions that he sees, especially from those that emigrate away from their home country.
We know that a lot of our listeners work in office environments or encounter more stress than they would like on a daily basis and so there will be lots of crossover I’m sure in our conversation today that will be relevant to all people.
The South Asian Health Solution is the first book to provide an ancestral health-based wellness plan culturally tailored for those of South Asian ancestry living in India, the United States and across the world – a population identified as being at the highest risk for heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and related conditions. Dr. Ronesh Sinha, an internal medicine specialist in California’s Silicon Valley, sees high risk South Asian patients and runs education and wellness programs for corporate clients. He has taken many South Asians out of the high risk, high body mass category and helped them reverse disease risk factors without medications. His comprehensive lifestyle modification approach has been validated by cutting edge medical science and the real-life success stories he profiles throughout the book.

TPS 62: Sarah Ballantyne – All things autoimmune with The Paleo Mom
This weeks guest has so much awesome on offer that I don’t want to waste a second of our time with her. To all of our listeners, I know that sometimes getting your head around all of the ins and outs of autoimmune disease can be harder than trying to rummage your way through a Target clearance rack to find a bargain, but today we have got you covered.
Our guest is well and truly qualified to walk us through all of the nitty gritty we can throw at her. Sarah Ballantyne has so many tools in her kit but formally she is a Scientist turned stay-at-home mum, she writes the award winning blog “The Paleo Mom”, is a co-host on The Paleo View podcast and is author of some of the best Paleo Resources available including what we think is the Ulitmate Guide for anyone living with an autoimmune disease. Like many of our guests she is passionate about the impact of nutrition & lifestyle on health, cooking & raising her family. We think she is an all round superstar and we are not alone in this sentiment. Robb Wolf describes her latest book “The Paleo Approach” as a game-changer.

TPS 61: Liz Wolfe – Eat The Yolks
I love today’s guest because she is all about the food. I know that in my quest for health I have done just
about every ridiculous dietary fad out there- lemon detoxes, calorie restriction, shakes, slimming bars,
lotions, potions, pills, the works. The thing about Paleo for me, and I know I’m not alone in this, is that it
allowed me to give myself permission to break up with my disastrous relationship with food and to start
enjoying it- literally just eat real food and reap the benefits!
I know that stacks of our listeners out there can relate to what I went through. One minute we’re told
to eat foods low in fat, the next minute salt will kill us and then they make out butter to be the bad guy.
One of my true joys has always been eggs so much so that Steve and I joke about creating a cook book
dedicated solely to singing the praises of eggs. You can imagine my devastation when I’m told in order
to achieve the physique I was aiming for I had to cut out the egg yolks. I’m actually cringing in my chair
thinking about the cartons of egg whites I purchased and willingly consumed thinking that I was doing
the best thing for myself.
Thank God someone is doing something to stop the madness- today’s guest in her latest book “Eat the
Yolks” blows this myth out of the water! The amazing and funny Liz Wolfe is a writer and a Nutritional
Therapy Practitioner. Liz definitely walks the talk and is an avid hobby farmer with pasture-raised goats,
pigs and chickens and an organic garden. I had a bit of a giggle when I found out like me Liz has a bit of a
black thumb- there’s hope for me yet!
Her passion for real food stems from her very own powerful transformation and through her experience
in discovering the power of real food Liz got healthier, cleared acne, resolved skin issues, slept better,
and felt better than ever before. Through her books, website and Cave Girl Eats social media she
inspires millions of us daily and shows us that by ditching the diet dogma and filling our lives with real,
nourishing food we can achieve the same amazing benefits that she has.
In her quest to get to the bottom of modern food mythology Liz uncovered all kinds of crazy lies and
beliefs that we have been fed. Eat the Yolks is her story and how to guide for discovering Paleo, how to
fight these food lies and how to reclaim your health.

TPS 59: Tara Grant – The Hidden Plague
This week I have been doing some reflection and I have really been pondering what makes a successful
plan to achieve optimal health. A few points really jumped out at me. Firstly there is no singular one size
fits all solution. While there may be some basic principles that we can all draw from it’s becoming more
and more increasingly obvious that we need to take individual differences like genetics and lifestyle for
example into consideration. It gives us goose bumps here at That Paleo Show that it is finally becoming
acceptable to look at our uniqueness and through a process of trial and error, honest judgment free
discussion and common sense explore various approaches that might best suit us as an individual. So
while a less prescribed pathway to health is slowly but surely becoming more talked about and viable,
what about the people that don’t know what they are dealing with? Where do they start and what do
they do to overcome their feelings of hopelessness and frustration?
The great news is that today’s guest has experienced exactly this. She was someone who had always
been relatively healthy- maybe carried a few extra kilos but operated pretty well most of the time. It’s
amazing how quickly a health crisis can put things into perspective and that’s exactly what we are going
to talk about today.
