106. Hormones & Physiology with Dr. Alexandra Golden
Alex (M.D.) and Megan (Health Coach & Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner) work with pre-menopausal women in an online group format. They focus on balancing hormones and supporting detoxification by teaching women to use the phases of their menstrual cycles to their advantage. The natural ebb and flow that happens to our hormones, organ systems, and bodies overall as women is there to renew and strengthen us. When we work with the natural cycles of our bodies, we allow ourselves to heal and recover on a level that few of us ever reach when we operate within the “rules” of the hectic modern world. Even the alternative medicine world has lost its connection to how the female body operates. Most protocols and health programs out there show no regard for the cycles that govern the flow of our bodies as women. By focusing on different activities, elixirs, foods and rituals each week of your cycle we can help the body to detoxify naturally. A good example of our recent guide of how to work WITH your cycle can be found here - http://www.zestyginger.com/cycle/ Healthy Hormones Group Program Zestyginger.com/healthyhormones If you are ready to get your hormones and weight under control once and for all and want the one on one guidance from me to do so, you can fill out an application here: http://bit.ly/DrBethVIP I will only be taking applications through the end of April, so apply now.

104. Thyroid Refresh with Danna Bowman & Ginny Mahar
Ginny Mahar, founder of Hypothyroid Chef, and Danna Bowman, founder of Thyroid Nation, are two of those women, and they were brought together by the lack of resources and community available to women diagnosed with thyroid disease. Adjusting to a new lifestyle, and particularly a new diet, can be challenging - especially when you're a Cordon Bleu-trained chef and cooking instructor like Ginny or a Zumba instructor with an active lifestyle, like Danna. From joint pain to a lack of energy and brain fog, both women had experienced the power diet and lifestyle changes could have on their overall health and well-being. From that conversation, THYROID30 was born, a 30-day wellness adventure for thyroid patients. This first-of-its-kind program is designed to empower and support those looking to implement thyroid-specific diet and lifestyle changes, providing much-needed tools for patients and practitioners alike.
