Cleared Hot Episode 260 - Nelson Grant - 2022 Hunting year in review

Nelson Grant is a Sheriff's Deputy and Search and Rescue Team member in the Flathead Valley. In addition to his current duties, he has previous experience on the SWAT Team and Narcotics Task Force. For the past two years we have set out to hunt elk in the mountains of Montana with our close friends. Each year has presented us with significant challenges, and the opportunity to learn from our experiences moving forward. Join us as we review our hunting season, and listen to Michael explain why he should move to Maine, having never been there and knowing nothing about it. When not on duty Nelson enjoys partaking in just about every activity that Northwestern Montana has to offer. Bowhunting, rifle hunting, river raft guiding, dual-sport motorcycle guiding, backcountry split boarding and skiing, touring, trekking, downhill mountain bike riding, jiu-jitsu, and probably even more that I am forgetting.

Full Auto Friday - Round 130

Today's episode is based on a single question about leadership, specifically from a leader who feels like they have been put into a position from which they are "destined to fail."  Once per month I plan to do an episode dedicated to a single question, which will allow for a more thorough answer and will hopefully be more impactful.  Leadership- What is it What is it not Don't try to be the smartest person in the room Don't try to be something that you aren't  Mentors, both internal and external to your organization Don't get obliterated by the details

Multus consulting is interdisciplinary consulting that aggregates subject matters including, but not limited to, epistemology, psychology, intellect, culture, evolutionary biology, physics, mathematics, gastronomy, music, and more into an integrated whole. By doing so, each recipient is able to gain a unique and system-level understanding of their tradecraft, and existence, which fails to be achieved due to the overwhelming majority of educational/training approaches in the marketplace that often fail to explain how relevant subject matters integrate in people’s thinking and the real world. Skills developed include but are not limited to those that optimize leadership and high-stakes decision-making, negotiations, system-level optimization, critical thinking, conflict resolution, organizational culture, and how to effortlessly deal with high expectations and responsibilities.
