She is currently planning her wedding for 2024. She and her fiance lost the engagement ring at the beach during the engagement shoot. Their viral video has over 39.5 million views on TikTok! [00:01:23] Before meeting her partner, Kirsten was single for four years. She says she put a lot of pressure on first connections. She was avoiding being vulnerable. [00:10:13] Kirsten: "In anything in life, it's effort. Why do you think dating shouldn't be effort? Anything that is worthwhile takes time to build. You must build a foundation." [00:11:31] Kirsten: The old way of dating is having high expectations and going into the date with the checklist...Dr. Morgan points out this is a way to avoid being vulnerable and to avoid connection. [00:19:47] Dr. Morgan: "The most attractive version of ourselves is when we are authentically ourselves." [00:24:04] Do you feel like this was the most vulnerable, real open and honest that you've been? Kirsten: Yes. I literally met him two months after the meeting with you. I'm so glad that we've connected again. [00:25:11] "We can allow ourselves to be gushy and romantic, " Dr. Morgan says. "If we don't feel emotionally safe, we can't even access that part of ourselves " When did you know you could see yourself spending the rest of your life with this person? [00:27:08] A video of a proposal that went viral on TikTok wasn't the actual proposal. Instead, it was just the engagement shoot for save the date photos. The photographer eventually found the ring. The couple spent two and a half hours looking for it. [00:33:45] And he's just like, you know, he didn't blame me. He was like, okay, well, it's just another Tuesday with you. Let's find it and move on. And I feel like a lot of guys would be like, why did you jump in it? [00:34:07] Dr. Morgan: Having that partner that can kind of be that securely attached base really helps move us more towards a securely attached place. Sometimes it's nice to have a partner to reach out to, and they can help you in ways that they can give you grace. Both of those things are beautiful parts of being with the right partner.
