Curiosity, Interestedness & The Meaning of LifeLegendary multi–BAFTA Award winning producer John Lloyd CBE is the founder of QI and the producer of some of Britain’s best-loved TV shows. He is of the same opinion as Plato: unmitigated seriousness has no place in human affairs. On the other hand, he also likes A. N. Whitehead’s assertion that it’s more important for something to be interesting than true (although it’s more likely to be interesting if it is true).When it comes to producing and presenting comedic content, John Lloyd is unmatched.  He is best known for his work on Blackadder, QI, Spitting Image, and as a presenter for BBC Radio 4’s The Museum of Curiosity. Isolation at the Top, The 3 Crucial Support Categories & Thriving as a Non-Exec ChairmanWith the right kinds of support and input, NECs can help themselves to thrive and succeed in the role; for the good of the business, the Board and themselves. In this episode I explore this, and pass on a bit of the wisdom shared with me by NECs a few years ago during the research phase of my eBook ‘Autonomy in Relationship - the Human Side of Being a Non-Exec Chairman’.  Non-exec Chairmen are mature, experienced and capable people. They are relatively self-sufficient and able to manage all sorts of challenges. And - they are human beings who benefit from a bit of assistance. Some of this assistance they can provide for themselves. Some of it is more effectively drawn from others.
