Exodus 9 & 10  Today we are in part 8 of our Exodus series.  We will hear the last few plagues. In today's story, we connect the dots that God wants us to know HIM. He doesn't play hide and seek but instead, truly wants us to know Him.  After many of the plagues, we hear God say he used his power so that everyone would know that He is God and that no one could boast that they had saved themselves, but it was truly only God who saved them; bringing them out of Egypt.   I respect each families/ ages/ stage of life so I have adapted some of this. The king of Egypt is upset with Moses' request and makes things even harder for the people. Even though this king seems all powerful, there is 1 who is much more powerful than him. Exodus 4: 1-21 If you missed the last episodes, I would encourage you to go back starting at # 138 . The stories will build upon themselves and you’ll better understand how we got to where we are in our story. In today's story we hear Moses telling God he shouldn't be the 1 to help b/c he is not a good speaker.  God reminds Moses that He gave Moses his mouth and it is Him, God, who makes man able to speak. Again we hear that it’s not about us, what we can do, but it’s about God and what HE can do.  The children will hear how this applies to their very own lives.  Thanks for listening! Exodus 3 Today, we continue our series in Exodus. This is part 3. Today's story will cover Moses seeing the burning bush & God telling Moses he will be used to go back to Egypt and rescue the people.  Wait until you hear Moses' response! I love that the Bible reminds us that the people in the Bible are real people, just like us. We will also learn that it's not about who we are but who God is.  I encourage you to go back and listen to the previous Exodus episodes as they will build upon one another. Exodus 2:11-25  I respect each family's ages/stages of life so I have adapted some of this. Please go back and read the scriptures yourself including what is appropriate for your family.  This is the 2nd episode in our series on Exodus. We begin with Moses now a grown man. Moses ends up taking matters into his own hands and ends up fleeing from his home.  Our story will teach us some more about Moses but our big take away will be that God heard the Israelites cries. God hears in ways which we can not. He hears us no matter how we feel, where we live, or how many of us are talking at once.
