The king of Egypt is upset with Moses' request and makes things even harder for the people. Even though this king seems all powerful, there is 1 who is much more powerful than him. We will learn how God is all powerful and He is in control even when things don't always make sense. God tells them that He will rescue His people. Exodus 4: 1-21 If you missed the last episodes, I would encourage you to go back and listen. The stories will build upon themselves and you’ll better understand how we got to where we are in our story. In today's story we hear Moses telling God he shouldn't be the 1 to help b/c he is not a good speaker.  God reminds Moses that He gave Moses his mouth and it is Him, God, who makes man able to speak. Again we hear that it’s not about us, what we can do, but it’s about God and what HE can do.  The children will hear how this applies to their very own lives. Exodus 3 Today, we continue our series in Exodus. This is part 3. Today's story will cover Moses seeing the burning bush & God telling Moses he will be used to go back to Egypt and rescue the people.  Wait until you hear Moses' response! Moses ends up taking matters into his own hands and ends up fleeing from his home.  Our story will teach us some more about Moses but our big take away will be that God heard the Israelites cries. God hears in ways which we can not. He hears us no matter how we feel, where we live, or how many of us are talking at once. We will learn how He heard their prayers just as He hears us when we pray to him.  Mark 10: 46-52 We find Bartimaeus crying out to Jesus for help. The crowd tells Bartimaeus to be quiet. Who is he that Jesus would want to hear from him?!?! Jesus hears all of us when we call out to Him. Whether popular or outcast, whether we are calling out amongst a noisy crowd or sitting quietly in our room, Jesus hears us and listens just like He did for  Bartimaeus. Matthew 16:13-19 Today, we hear Jesus asking his disciples who people say He is. Their response is interesting. We are reminded to go back to our Bibles to check if what others say about Jesus is actually true. Next, we hear Jesus ask," Who do YOU say I am?" This is an extremely important question!  The children will be encouraged to ask themselves who they say Jesus is and what He is like.
