Advent, which means "coming" in Latin, is the period leading up to Christmas. It heralds "Jesus is coming!" In his sermon, Pastor Bobby Chaw explains that Advent is a time of hope and expectation: it began in darkness but ended in light. As John 1:5 says, "The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it." In Genesis 14, Abraham met with Melchizedek, the king of Salem and the priest of God Most High. Melchizedek had communion with Abraham and made a covenant with him. This covenant is known as the blessings of Abraham and we, as believers, can partake in these same blessings. We too, can have the blessings of Elevation, the blessings of Possession, and the blessings of Dominion. After that encounter, Abraham kept his faith strong and his trust in God steadfast. His faith so pleased God that God called him His friend. Whatever challenges came his way, Abraham always found favor with God.  Today, God wants the same for us. Do you want to have unfaltering faith like Abraham and be known in the heavenlies as a friend of God? Do you want to live a life of favor with God and with man? Make a covenant with Jesus our Melchizedek! 

As we draw near to Christmas and prepare to invite our friends to church, Pastor Aries Zulkarnain highlights Jesus' strategy to win the lost: through building personal relationships. Drawing examples from the Bible, such as Jesus dining at Zaccheus' house and eating with prostitutes and tax collectors, Pastor Aries encourages us to "turn our dining table into our mission field" because it achieves three things: one, fellowship allows for encouragement; two, we encounter Jesus when we fellowship and three, we reveal the love of Jesus through fellowship. The Bible talks about a time when Abraham met with Melchizedek, King of Salem and high priest of God. Melchizedek was a type and a foreshadow of Christ. After they partook of communion, Melchizedek blessed Abraham. Galatians 3:29 says that we are Christ’s, and Abraham’s seed—heirs according to the promise. We share in the blessings of Abraham. There are three parts to this blessing: the blessing of Elevation and how God wants to lift you up; the blessing of Possession and moving from stewardship to ownership; and finally, the blessing of Dominion and being an overcomer. Understand what these blessings entail and find out how you can unlock them in your life. 

Forgiveness is a mark of the Christian life. It is not always easy, but it is something that all believers must learn to embrace. Why? Because God is forgiveness and it is His nature.Many people are locked in an emotional prison simply because they are unable to let go of a wrong or an offence that was done towards them. Do you have a bitter memory from the past that is robbing you of happiness today? Friends, forgiveness is the reason why Jesus came into this world and died for us. As you seek to understand what it means to forgive and let go of hurts, may you be set free and be strengthened in grace, mercy, and love. 

The children of Israel complained twice to Moses when there was no water on their journey to the Promised Land. The first time was the original generation that Moses had led out of Egypt; the second time, the complainants were the next generation. This generation demanded to understand why they were doing what they were doing: travelling through the desert with no water to drink. Likewise, as a modern day church grows, new generations may not understand their purpose in the church. Pastor Bobby reminds them of their mission: to seek and save the lost. Listen and learn from the three things Moses taught the children of Israel to do as they ended their journey: to guard their hearts and not give in to evil, to be willing to change and to honor the Lord, which is to trust Him.

As believers, if we don’t have a revelation of the extent to which Jesus has gone to save us, we will be bombarded by condemnation again and again. Satan wants us to live in constant guilt and unworthiness in God’s presence; because He knows that if we have no confidence, we will have no faith. But thank God for Christ’s redemptive work on the cross! By faith, when we identify with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection, we strip the devil of his power and authority over our lives.Discover God’s amazing forgiveness towards us through the blood of Jesus Christ; and how we can stand before Him in complete righteousness and absolute confidence! 

In this continuation of his message on Christian maturity, Pastor Aries Zulkarnain addresses what it means to be fully developed as adults in the faith, within and without (Eph 4:10-13). Drawing from the example of the prophet Ahitophel, Pastor Aries teaches about the perils of not guarding one’s heart - if one fails to deal with the issues of the heart, they can resurface and cause great grief. The first time Jesus revealed His glory was at the wedding of Cana (John 2) where He performed His first miracle: turning water into wine. From this passage, Pastor Wu Yu Zhuang preaches a revelatory message about how Jesus' love for us compels Him to move the timetable forward or back when we ask, if we turn to Him, have faith in Him and obey Him. Wine is often associated with joy—believers run out of wine when "uninvited guests" show up. These guests include unhealthy relationships, negative emotions and judgmental attitudes.
