Dad Tired
Jerrad Lopes
You’re tired.
Not just physically; though yeah, that too.
You’re tired in your bones. In your soul.
Trying to be a steady husband, an intentional dad, a man of God… but deep down, you feel like you’re falling short. Like you’re carrying more than you know how to hold.
Dad Tired is a podcast for men who are ready to stop pretending and start healing.
Not with self-help tips or religious platitudes, but by anchoring their lives in something (and Someone) stronger.
Hosted by Jerrad Lopes, a husband, dad of four, and fellow struggler, this show is a weekly invitation to find rest for your soul, clarity for your calling, and the courage to lead your family well.
Through honest stories, biblical truth, and deep conversations you’ll be reminded:
You’re not alone. You’re not too far gone. And the man you want to be is only found in Jesus.
This isn’t about trying harder.
It’s about coming home.
Not just physically; though yeah, that too.
You’re tired in your bones. In your soul.

Comparison: The Thief of Joy
Comparing our lives to others, it's something we all find ourselves doing from time-to-time. This week, join host Jerrad Lopes as he discusses how comparing ourselves to others is a symptom of something deeper, how in this age of social media we must be even more vigilant, and recognizing the joy in knowing we are loved by God.

Practicing Faithfulness in the Mundane of Life
The Bible is filled with stories of great feats of faith, courage, and strength. But have you ever wondered about the rest of the story? Each of the great Bible characters lived ordinary lives and dealt with and experienced the monotonous, just like we do. But these moments in between the chapters gave each man and woman of Christ the opportunity to practice what it was to be a follower of God in the mundane. Join host Jerrad Lopes as he explores the idea that God gives these everyday opportunities in order for us to practice obedience and faithfulness in the little things. This episode is an opportunity to delve deeper into scripture and see more than just what is written on the page.

When Busy Lives Prevent Us From Hearing God
When something is unsettled in our heart, we do whatever we can to mask it. Work harder, drink more, yell louder, buy something new. Anything to cover up the noise of our soul. We are convinced that if we can make enough noise, the tugging of the Holy Spirit will go away.
At the root of our noise-making-efforts is shame. We believe that when things get quiet, we will hear the sound of a sinful heart. And the truth is, you’re right. Your heart is sinful and wicked, deserving of punishment and shame. But there is good news; The Gospel & the fact that God has a reputation of engaging broken and messy people with grace. In this episode, join host Jerrad Lopes as he talks about entering into 2018 with a new mercy and what that practically looks like for us as husbands and dads.

We're All Filthy
As men, we subconsciously rely on our good behavior and moral deeds to find righteousness with God. But, the truth is, despite what we look like on the outside, we are all filthy on the inside, and in desperate need of a savior.
