Conveniently, Oliver happens to be reading a very specific book: Single, Gay, and Holidating Yourself in LA. And where is Wilde from? LA. So, naturally, they decide to house-swap.Wilde goes out to a bar and bonds with locals while trashing his ex. Meanwhile, Oliver attends a signing for the very book he’s been reading, just so he can tell the author, Julius, that it’s all wrong. Julius is initially taken aback by his critiques, but the sparks begin to fly.Back in Brilfax, Wilde can’t resist calling his ex—and it does not go well. After a bath, he’s surprised when Oliver’s cousin, Henry, shows up out of nowhere during a snowstorm. They have some awkward banter, and Oliver agrees to let Henry stay. The next day, Wilde learns Henry is also an actor, just like his ex. So obviously, it won’t work. Spoiler alert: it does. They start hanging out, and after a fun night together, they walk in the snow and share a kiss.Meanwhile, in LA, Oliver and Julius begin to spend more time together after Julius’ manager nudges him to reconnect. Things are going great.But of course, each couple hits an “all is lost” moment. Wilde sees Henry talking to his manager—who also happens to be his ex—and it feels a little too familiar. And Julius finds out Oliver is a divorce attorney (which he failed to mention) and gets furious.Luckily, it all works out. Wilde and Henry reconcile, and Wilde says he’s willing to move to LA to be with him. Oliver resigns from being a divorce attorney to pursue a nonprofit passion project, which makes Julius thrilled.The couples reunite in LA for New Year’s Eve and have a great time—despite Wilde’s parents crashing the party. Her friends just want to drink the wine they like, but Mae’s not having it—this is her fancy party. When she overhears her friends and sisters joking about it, she kicks everyone out.Sergio meets up with Nikita to hear more about her ideas.Meanwhile, Amanda gathers the girls to throw Mae a “make-good” bachelorette party—doing something Mae will definitely hate: a scavenger hunt.Frank Jr. does the math and realizes it’ll only cost two cents more to make good chicken. His boss is shocked it’s so little. Maybe there’s something there. What Frank’s keeping secret is that it’s the same recipe the Chicken Sisters use.Amanda, Mae, and their friends have a great night out—until Amanda sees Sergio and Nikita kissing across the street. As he runs toward the hoop and jumps, the scene transitions to adult MJ jumping, leading into a 5+ minute highlight reel of Jordan clips. Honestly, it could’ve been an hour longer and I still would’ve been in.Michael then retires from basketball, and we transition to outer space. We’re dropped onto Moron Mountain, a struggling amusement park. Its owner, Mr. Swackhammer, decides the best course of action is to kidnap the Looney Tunes to be the park’s new attraction. His little henchmen head to Earth to hold the Tunes hostage, but Bugs Bunny convinces them to allow the Tunes to defend themselves, challenging them to a basketball game since the aliens are so small.After seeing a documentary about basketball and learning there are professionals, the aliens travel to Earth and steal the talents of Charles Barkley, Shawn Bradley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson, and Muggsy Bogues. Using this talent, they transform into giant, baller versions of themselves known as the Monstars.When the Looney Tunes see how big the Monstars are, they realize they need help. They need the greatest to ever do it: Michael Jordan.They track MJ down at the golf course and literally pull him through a hole. Honestly, MJ handles it surprisingly well and he’s in.Back on Earth, the real NBA players discover they’ve lost their ability to play, leading the league to suspend the season until they figure out what’s happening.It’s time for the big game, and the Monstars dominate the first half. The Tune Squad is devastated.During halftime, MJ’s assistant Stan (who showed up earlier in the movie) learns how the Monstars stole the players’ talent. This discourages the Tunes even more—until Bugs pulls out MJ’s “secret stuff,” which is just water, but convinces the squad to believe in themselves.MJ raises the stakes with Swackhammer, as only he would: if the Tune Squad wins, the Monstars return the stolen talent. If the Monstars win, Jordan will spend the rest of his life as Moron Mountain’s newest attraction.The Tunes fight back, but with only ten seconds left, they’re down to four players. Luckily, Bill Murray shows up to even things out.In the final moments, Jordan talks to Bugs, uses cartoon physics, stretches his arm across the court, and slam-dunks for the win.After Swackhammer berates the Monstars, Jordan helps them realize they only served him because they were small. Fed up, the Monstars stuff Swackhammer into a missile and launch him to the moon. They then relinquish the stolen talent and decide to stay with the Tunes.Meanwhile, Jordan and Stan return to Earth, restoring the NBA stars’ abilities. He tells her he’s her dad, and they sit down for a conversation.Later, Nancy catches Gus hoarding stuff in the closet. Gus admits she’s freaking out because Mae’s dad is back in town. As Nancy helps her clean, she mentions she might be going on a trip for a couple of months with the pastor. Gus doesn’t take it well — she’s grown to really love being close to Nancy after hating her her whole life.Frankie and Linzey hang out, and Frankie reveals a secret: she started a social media account to showcase her mom’s artwork. She also admits she and Dud haven’t even kissed yet. Instead of seizing the moment, Linzey says, “Let’s go get you kissed, then.”Amanda’s date with Eddie ends early when duty calls. Sergio happens to walk in to pick up food, and Amanda invites him to sit. Afterwards, they share a long hug — clearly tempted to kiss — but part ways.Later, Linzey rings Dud’s doorbell and runs, giving Frankie and Dud their first kiss.Mae thanks her mom for calling Clayton and bringing him to town.The episode ends with Clayton knocking on Gus’s door, apologizing for not being there. Nora’s closest teammate—and rival—James chose to stay behind, and now he’s up for the potential Vice President role.Nora goes out to dinner with her pregnant friend Jacks, who insists they stop at her favorite ice cream spot, Darlington Dairy. Nora tries it, is blown away, and wonders why she’s never heard of it before. (Good question, Nora.)Meanwhile, James’ boss tells him the VP role is between him and Lavery. Whoever brings in the hottest new client within the next two weeks gets the job.The next day, Nora and James bump into each other. She drops her bag, and it’s full of ice cream. She lies, saying it’s for the office, when in reality, she’s eyeing Darlington Dairy as a client. Unfortunately for her, she leaves a carton behind, and James scoops it up. He brings it to his boss and claims the idea as his own.Soon enough, both Nora and James are on planes to Wisconsin to meet the owners. By coincidence, they’re staying at the same inn, in neighboring rooms. Their paths officially collide when they both show up to take the owners to dinner. Classic double booking. Naturally, they all dine together.After dinner, Nora and James lay down some ground rules: no sabotage, no scarfing down ice cream to win favor, and both present their pitches—the best pitch wins. (Which, let’s be honest, feels like the only rule that should matter.)The next morning, Nora’s car won’t start. Turns out it’s an EV, and she forgot to charge it. James offers her a ride.From there, they spend more time together—working on the farm, sharing late nights. One sleepless evening leads to a romantic night under the stars, surrounded by fireflies.One day, James chats with the mayor and learns the town is running out of funding for local farms. He pitches to his boss that they donate money to help, and his boss loves the idea—especially since the owners will surely be impressed.Nora sees James meeting with the mayor and grows suspicious, though she’s also starting to genuinely enjoy his company.At the town’s ice cream festival, the mayor announces the new farmers’ fund in front of everyone. Nora is furious—she feels James is bribing the owners.Finally, pitch day arrives. The owners choose James.Back at the office, James learns his boss called ahead and warned the owners against working with Alexandra. Disgusted, he quits.Later, Nora discovers the owners called her instead—they’re going with her after all, because they found out James walked away.She goes to see James, who reveals Alexandra offered him a job. He’ll only take it if it’s okay with her, because he’s madly in love with her and doesn’t want anything to come between them again. They kiss—and kiss some more. Their foster mom, Maggie, greets them and tells Roger he has a guest. He runs inside and is excited to see his dad who is just lighting up a cig. They talk a little baseball, he puts out a cigerett on his jeans, and tells Roger he's heading up north and can't take him with him. He tells Roger he's signed a release paper. Roger asks his dad when they're gonna be a family again. He says when the Angels win the pennant. Unfortunately, the Angels are real bad. After a handful of errors, the Angel's manager George Knox gets in a literal fight with his pitcher. After the game, Knox goes to talk to the owner. He tells him that he can't win with this team. The owner tells him to wait it out, no one expects him to win here. That night, Roger prays that God helps the Angels win so that he can be with his dad. As he falls asleep, we see a little twinkle in a star. Could be anything.The next day, Roger and JP get to go to a game. During the game, Roger can't believe his eyes as the outfielder seems to get picked up by two guys in sparkling pajamas to make a catch. When he talks to JP about it, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Just looked like a good catch to me. Roger asks another guy. Same answer. Roger is like what the heck? Suddenly, this dude comes to sit next to him and says "I love when they come from above like that". He says his name is Al and no one can see or hear him except for Roger. And he tells Roger to keep his eyes out. He'll be in touch. Roger watches as the angels continue to do their thing and help the team win. After the game, JP learns he won a picture opportunity with Knox. He tells Roger to take his spot. Roger tells Knox that they won because there were angels helping them. He thinks the kid is crazy but he goes into the locker room and asks the players and they give him less than satisfying answers. He  goes to invite Roger to sit next to the dugout to let him know if he ends up seeing angels so he can plan accordingly. He tells Roger instead of calling him over, to do an angel signal. Knox begins to listen to him even when it doesn't make sense and they begin to win and win and win some more. They get to the top of the standings and are 1 game away from winning the division. Roger finds out he has to miss a game for a court apperance but he sends JP just in case. They end up losing and JP is so sad after the game that he blabs about the angels to a reporter who hates Knox. Roger's father permanently gives up custody of him which confuses Roger because the Angels are finally winning. When he gets home, Knox is there and he sticks around to cheer him up.  The news breaks about the angels and Roger comes clean to Maggie about his special ability. The owner calls Knox in and demands that he stand in front of the press and tell everyone that the story isn't true. Knox doesn't do that and all of the players support him so the owner keeps Knox on. It's the final game of the season and one of the angels show up to help the team. Al shows up and explains to Roger that championships have to be won of their own. Also, in lighter news, the pitcher Mel Clark is going to die in a couple months. Go team.The Angels end up fighting back and Clark goes out to pitch the final inning. He's really struggling.  So Knox goes to talk to him while Roger stands up to give the angel signal and the entire stadium joins. He's able to pull out the W with an amazing catch! After the game, Knox brings the kids home and tells them that he wants to adopt them.
