How to Staff Up Fast, Free and With Low Risk [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
How do you make admin and operational staff revenue-generating? This is a question that runs in many entrepreneur’s minds, and in today’s episode, Rob shares his advice, tips, tactics and strategies on how to monetise your business, get quality staff and services for free and how business owners and entrepreneurs can scale their business.KEY TAKEAWAYS Referrals are the best way to get staff for free because you don’t have to pay for the recruitment fee. Having friends and family members refer good people to work for you saves you a lot of money. You could offer your businesses services, whereby you'll do some of your services for someone in exchange for them doing some of their services for you before you hire your first full-time staff member. This is an equal exchange in value for you and for them. Get help from friends, family, apprentices and people who might come and do some work experience for you. This liberates you from admin, which is not an income-generating task and gives you time to work on your business and focus on income-generating tasks. You can leverage your income-generating staff such as salespeople to earn two to ten times their salary with incentives as with this you get a trackable capital return. It’s wise to incentivise your non-income generating staff such as your PA or admin staff rearing a commission on money saved. Having a job description in detail of what the job entails saves you a lot of time, effort and money. Not having one which is detailed costs you because you’ll have to incur the cost of training them. BEST MOMENTS “Entrepreneurs feel like they have to do everything themselves.” “The more commission your staff earns, the more you earn.” “Hire revenue-generating staff from day one.” “Keep the fixed costs low and variable costs higher.” “It’s not about working harder, it's about working smarter.” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Caffeine Cast: Is This Life's Greatest Teacher? [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Rob shares with you life’s greatest teacher that’s hidden in plain sight and exists in everything that we do. Discover the persistent and perennial lesson of the law of duality in this insightful and thought-provoking episode of the Disruptive Entrepreneur. Learn that with all pain comes pleasure, that every upside has a downside and how you can balance your emotions to understand life’s lessons for maximum growth. KEY TAKEAWAYS When you perceive that you’re getting all challenge and pain, you’re actually getting an equal upside but when you’re in a depression, struggle and challenge it will feel that that’s all that there is. Simultaneously you will experience both the upside and downside of any challenge and opportunity but you will not perceive both sides. Wisdom and self-mastery is when you’re up, being able to see the down and when you’re down, being able to see the up. Nature will try and give you the opposing lesson in life. If you’re careless you will receive a lesson to be careful. The universe will pull you back into balance, as all emotions are feedback and a reaction to your environment. When you’re too high or too low you’re furthest away from growth. Maximum growth is on the border of support and challenge. Too much support and you will become juvenile, too much challenge and you will be broken, growth is a balance of the upside and the downside. BEST MOMENTS “When you’re pedestalised someone will always put you down in the pit” “The greater the challenge the more elation you feel.” “Life is simultaneously and spontaneously giving you lessons of balance all of the time” “Being brought back into balance is vital for personal growth and development” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Emergency Lockdown Update: Fear & Opportunity [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Are you suffering from pandemic fear? In today’ episode, Rob shares his insights on the mindset of the entrepreneur during tough times and how you can re-focus, get clarity and scale your business with a new strategy. Tune in to discover how to manoeuvre, adapt and pivot your business to combat today’s economic challenges. KEY TAKEAWAYS Fear makes people make irrational, illogical and as a result, they make emotionally and volatile decisions. Reacting to fear in this way is bad for your long term strategy, results and progress. You shouldn’t be overly fearful, you should be balanced. If you can balance your fear and see the upside in the downside, then you have a great opportunity to leverage hidden opportunity. Do not get sucked into misinformation. Do not concern yourself with misinformation, debate, discussion and arguments concerning things such as COVID. Don’t change your strategy for the sake of COVID. When people have less money or they perceive that there is less money and less opportunity, there's lots of fear and people tend to make very emotional decisions. Look for the new opportunities, be it to serve your clients differently or come up with a new product, maybe you need to disrupt yourself, maybe now is the time for you to set up your second or third income stream, maybe now is the time for you to leverage online income other income streams. You've got to be quick in everything, quick to pivot, quick to react and quick to scale when challenging situations arise or your business will be dead and become extinct. The fast entrepreneur, that is very much engaged in customers, clients and community. This entrepreneur can test quickly, react to their audience and be agile and solution-focused. BEST MOMENTS “The fear pandemic is probably as real as the real pandemic.” “It's not the strongest that will survive; it’s those that are most adaptable to change.” “You need to let go of what was and accept what is.” “People spend the most money when they're emotionally volatile.” “Focus on what you can control and let go of everything else that you can't control.” “Necessity is the mother of invention.” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. 8 Mums & Me!: Takeover Episode: Being a Parent & an Entrepreneur [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Are you a Mum entrepreneur wrestling starting your business and raising your children? In today’s insightful episode Rob is joined by eight mum entrepreneurs to discuss the life of a parent and an entrepreneur. Listen in to discover how to balance the upside and the downside of entrepreneurship, lessons on how to improve your mindset when being in business and being a parent and why vision, clarity and strategy are essential to the success of a mum entrepreneur. KEY TAKEAWAYS Mum entrepreneurs should know that it is okay to have the ‘mum guilt’ of leaving their kids to work. Just hustle as hard as you can and everything will be okay. Women should know that every situation they're in has an upside and a downside, be it good or bad. Mums should know that when they start their businesses, it’s not going to get much easier, because getting into business comes with a set of challenges too. Don't listen to the negative vibes from other people because you’re working and you have kids. Always work harder so that you can give your kids the better life that they deserve. All children need is to feel loved. It goes much deeper than being constantly there for them, you can make all the mistakes you possibly can think of, as long as your child feels truly loved and whichever way you decide to communicate that to your child, whether it's physical, whether it's verbally, as long as that is there, that's already a huge brick in their personality building. Never judge yourself because if you're questioning everything it means that you probably lack clarity of your vision and purpose. Wisdom in parenting is understanding that you make no mistakes and you have a clear plan and strategy of how you want to raise your kids. It’s important to realise that every mistake you make is also a gift to them. Always try and get a good blend of equally serving them and equally serving you. This is what every mum entrepreneur should know. Women should eliminate the thought that being in business is being in male-dominated environments, they should understand that business is equal for men and women and they should never underestimate their capabilities. BEST MOMENTS “However hard it feels, it's going to be worth it in the end. ““Having guilt is just part of being a mother.”“It's not always hard and it doesn't always get easier.”“No matter what you do, you will get judged.”"Get judged doing something right for you and your family and your legacy."“It’s not about how many hours you've got, it's about how you use those hours.”“Don’t be scared to ask for help because it's not a weakness, it's a strength.” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES The Smart Connector: The Entrepreneur's Blueprint for Business Relationship Success Kindle Edition The Wellness Entrepreneur Podcast https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Caffeine Cast: How to Quit YourJob in 4 simple Steps [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
How do I quit the job that I hate and become an entrepreneur and set up my own business? This is a question that the Disruptive Entrepreneur, Rob Moore, gets every single day and in this episode, he discusses his four simple steps on how to quit your job and become an entrepreneur. KEY TAKEAWAYS Decide on your business model and income stream. To get you going, you need to focus on one business model. Is it property? Is it eCommerce? Is it online marketing? Is it public speaking? You've got to focus on one and not get distracted. Set your target income stream, your financial figure that you're going to replace your job with. Future forward a little bit and decide whether you want basic overheads covered so you can leave quicker, or do you want full income replacement? Set a date when you're going to leave your employment. Set a target day and start working and hustling on the evenings and weekends and set up your business on the side and then leave the job. This is the safest way, the most secure way and the most logical way. You've got to focus on key result areas, income-generating tasks, sales, marketing, andbuilding the product, building the audience, generating the leads, closing business andmaking money as opposed to making everything look pretty and dancing around the specificthings such as building the audience and you've got to avoid all sexy, distracting, shiny otherbusiness models which aren't right for you right now. BEST MOMENTS “Not everyone really should be an entrepreneur, and being an entrepreneur is not necessarily better then being an employee.” “It’s not about pedestalising entrepreneurship and knocking employment, it's about what's right for you.”’ “Traditional education might make a living, but self-education might make me a fortune” “Having a job as a way to learn to become an entrepreneur is a viable strategy.” “If you are an employee, make sure you work for the right boss and someone whose company is going places.” “Nothing lasts forever.” “When it goes wrong, you can't blame anyone and have to take hardcore responsibility and accountability yourself.” “You cannot succeed your way to success, you can only fail your way to success.” “Better late than never, and better a target than no target at all.” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. RANT: Covid: Breaking my Silence (Warning Explicit) [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Rob breaks his silence on the COVID-19 pandemic, how it has affected businesses, what entrepreneurs should be focused on how you can adapt your business to thrive. Discover Rob’s thoughts on what’s going on behind the scenes, his real opinion on government lockdown and restriction and how you too can turn the impact of COVID into a productive and positive outcome. KEY TAKEAWAYS Shut up and crack on with your business. Focus on what you can control and look after your clients. You can put all of your effort and energy into fighting COVID restrictions and talking about it, but you should be focused on building and adapting your business to thrive in current times. As a society, we should be looking more into the knock-on effects of COVID and government restrictions on mental health, suicides, bankruptcy and unemployment. The ramifications of restrictions could outweigh the actual damage the virus has done and we could end up making a bigger problem. The private sector funds the whole public sector and we need to help small businesses get through this period so that they do not have to make redundancies. Entrepreneurs should be looking for new opportunities and ways to better serve their customers and clients during the current economic climate. Aim to adapt, pivot and move with the changing times to offer your customers more and create new streams of revenue to a wider audience. BEST MOMENTS “Businesses, big and small need more support from the government.” “There’s nothing more frustrating than trying to change something that you cannot change” “Opinion is opinion” “Everyone thinks that they could do better than the government but they probably couldn’t” “We should support business owners, entrepreneurs and employees” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. You've got to consider the cost and the alternatives if you're thinking about letting someone go without investing time, education and training into them so that they become accountable. BEST MOMENTS “Be slow to hire, and quick to fire.”“Be it till you see it.”“Take every single hire seriously.”“No one loves your businesses as well as you do.”“Every individual has their own values.”“You’ve got to see the person as a person, not just as an employee” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. RANT: All This Fluff on ‘Intuition & Heart’ [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Important decisions are not all about intuition and heart, it’s not that one-sided. Making decisions purely on intuition is an excuse for not doing enough research or due diligence and today Rob dives into the upside and downside of using your intuition and your heart to make decisions, how to define wisdom and the consequences of your actions and non-actions in business, in entrepreneurship and in life. KEY TAKEAWAYS Intuition is simply all your past experiences connected in a memory recall that give you a ‘feeling’ about a certain person or deal and whilst this can be useful, practical research is also essential to decision making. Intuition doesn’t give you the full picture. Some peoples intuition is inexperienced and if you’re using intuition based off of bad past experiences or recurring issues to make decisions you will end up making the wrong decision. People are delegating proper research, analysis and accountability when they default to just ‘using their intuition’. If you have no experience in the market that you’re investing in then your intuition counts for nothing. Wisdom is not about trusting your intuition and heart, it’s about knowing when to trust them and when not to. A lot of people are making business decisions based on their intuition without any basis for it. All actions have consequences and all non-actions have consequences. Good intuition is knowing what the consequence is of your decisions and your actions. Wisdom and intuition is knowledge of both sides of the consequence, it’s understanding the value in the upside and the downside of your decisions. BEST MOMENTS “Your intuition can be wrong” “There is no one side to anything one thing in your life” “There’s no success without struggle” “Sometimes faith in the universe is just lacking responsibility” “Wisdom is knowing what you don’t know as well as knowing what you do know” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator.
