He was a former member of the Select Committees on Communications (2011-15) and the Built Environment (2015-16). He is Co-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Artificial Intelligence and Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Groups on Music, The Future of Work, Digital Regulation and Responsibility, Ticket Abuse, Performers Alliance, Writers and Indonesia.
