It was an absolute joy to cook elevenses for the one and only Andrew Ridgeley last week. Never before has a guest been more thorough and specific when we asked about their last supper. Arriving by bus, he told us all about the wonderful Wham! documentary, about his time in the band, his perfectionism when cooking, his epic 10-day bike ride across the UK and we discovered that not only are Club Tropicana drinks free…. they were also made of coloured water. Wham! A Table Manners EUPHORIA! The Queen of Eurovision has arrived in Clapham! She’s the only female (and only the second person ever) to have won Eurovision twice, the one and only Loreen joins us this week. This week we have a musician, singer, songwriter, composer, TV star and political campaigner - there is nothing he cannot do - it’s Jon Batiste! He’s won Grammys, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, and even an Oscar, and now he’s popped round to mine for a Middle Eastern Mezze inspired brunch. A New Orleans native, music & food have always been a huge part of Jon’s life, and he told us all about his love of Red Beans & Rice, Po Boy Sandwiches, Crawfish Boils and Pepperoni Pizza with a dollop of honey.
