Can You Be A Competitive Athlete Without Carbohydrates? - With Sean Sako
Sean Sako is todays guest. After founding a supplement company in 2006. In 2013, a personal tragedy fuelled Sean's curiosity about the link between high carb, low-fat diets and lifestyle diseases. This quest led him to embrace the ketogenic diet, experiencing improved health and newfound freedom from constant refueling.
Sean's fascination with human endurance pushed him to accomplish extraordinary feats, such as completing a 198km race through the Jordanian Desert without refuelling.
At points in todays podcast I push Sean hard to back up his claims. This doesn’t come from a place of intolerance rather of curiosity. I’m fascinated by lower carbohydrate lifestyle and constantly find myself on the brink of making that shift.

My Unfit Wife Wants To Cycle With Me, Fabric Softener & Wide Fit Shoes - Newbie Questions With Sarah
As per usual there are quite the wide range of topics covered in todays Newbie Questions. A listener wants to know what to do about his spouses new love of training with him, a cyclist that works 80 per week needs help with a training plan & Sarah gets giddy when dealing with a girth issue.
As promised, these are the plants Sarah talks about in the podcast! -
1. Peace Lily - one of the top air purifying houseplants for removing harsh chemicals and purifying the air! They work by absorbing the airborne ‘toxins’ through their leaves, down into the roots and break them down in the soil.
2. Aloe Vera - However, it also provides air purifying abilities to help some common chemicals founds in household detergents, paint & glue
4. Boston Fern - The Boston Fern has been proven to give a significant increase to the quality of air as they help to restore moisture and act as a humidifier. This unique quality makes them one of the top air-purifying plants on a list in Clean Air Studies.
5. Spider Plant - hard to kill. Not all of us possess the green thumb. Also it can be time consuming to look after plants properly if you have a busy lifestyle. If this is you, the Spider Plant could be a great option as they are extremely easy to grow.
