Jesus Culture Sacramento Message of the Week

Sometimes we forget that no sin or circumstance is bigger than the cross. Jesus set us free from sin and our past. Pastor Paul Geerling, Senior Pastor of iSEE CHURCH in Australia, reminds us that when we have a revelation on the inside of the freedom God gave us, it changes how we live on the outside.

Any area of my life that is not dripping with freedom is under the influence of a lie. Pastor Becky Johnson teaches us the importance of getting free of any and every lie that stands in the way of us believing who God says that He is. What we believe about God will directly shape how we interact with Him. Is your experience of God limited by lies you are believing?

Jesus came to save us from death and deliver us and make us whole from the effects of sin. Pastor Banning teaches us that any area in our lives that we are not free in, Jesus invites us to be set free. Are you settling for things in your life that are actually just the effects of your life before you knew Jesus?

As followers of Jesus, we are called to live a life of ceaseless prayer. Pastor Banning envisions our church family to be people of relational prayer, where we are constantly talking to God about everything. In order to establish this relationship with God in our lives, we must know Him as a father and a friend.

Pastor Banning casts vision for the upcoming year, and shares some exciting changes with our Jesus Culture Sacramento church family.

Every time we tell others about the works of God, we are sharing about His power, goodness, and righteousness. Pastor Banning is joined by Phil and Sarah Smith to remind us that when we tell the story and activity of God in our lives, we prophesy to anyone listening, and we help show others what is available and possible with God.

Our modern day culture is not generationally minded, but the Kingdom of God is. Pastor Becky Johnson reminds us of our responsibility as followers of Jesus to pass along the law of God, the power of God, and the wondrous works of God to the next generation. It is not a suggestion, but a command. When we share the testimony of Jesus it shapes a generation to hope in Him.

Each of us has a story to tell of the activity of God in our lives! Our personal story of encountering Jesus encourages others and declares God’s faithfulness and trustworthiness. Pastor Banning Liebscher hosts five men from our Jesus Culture Sacramento community to share their God stories with our church family.

We have a whole society built on comparison and envy. Pastor Becky Johnson reminds us that envy and comparison will rob us of the fullness of life. When we compare ourselves to other people, we will compete where we are called to celebrate. As believers, there is a way that we can respond to envy and comparison in our lives that’s different from the rest of the world.

Our satisfaction in life often rises and falls on our circumstances, but we are called to be prisoners of hope not our circumstances. Pastor Mark Kresge teaches us that the secret to being satisfied comes from trusting Jesus in every area of our life.
