I have been deep diving them for the last 3 weeks and am so excited to tell you all about them. Their love was known to be incredibly loyal, but also incredibly toxic! On this episode of Wife of Crime I am telling Russ about the amazing survival of a woman we will refer to as Jane Doe and the scum bag serial killer she helped take down, Shawn Grate. At the center of this case is a 911 call that is so intense to listen to, when I first heard it I had a physical response! My heart rate went up and I felt myself getting anxious! It was because of this brave woman that police were able to get their hands on Shawn and learn the depth of his crimes against women. On this episode of Wife of Crime, I'm telling Russ about a Baltimore serial killer I'm sure no one has heard of! I know this story because I know the arresting officer on the case. Ray was my grandmother's boyfriend he was a police officer for 47 years. He had some crazy stories but he told me that arresting Reginald Oates was by far the craziest one. Even after 56 years he ever forgot that day. Ray suddenly passed away 2 weeks ago, I am still so sad about this but I wanted to dedicate this episode to him and I hope he is smiling up there when he hears it. Moral of this story...
