Emily Pike, a 14 year old Native American absconded from her group home late January 2025. Three weeks later her dismembered remains were discovered 100 miles away from where she was last seen. Theresa Alvarez was left with her maternal grandparents at 8 years old after her own mother died. Unfortunately, her grandparents could not financially support extra mouths to feed and Theresa along with her brother were often homeless. That is until Margaret Theut along with a great aunt- Janet Jenkins took the kids in and provided for them. This serial killer case was a highly publicized case that took place in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor Michigan area from 1967-1969.
