He started his research career at Institut de Recherche d'Hydro-Québec in Varennes, Québec, an internationally reputed electro-technical laboratory. After rounding out his formation with courses in Biology and Medicine, he became interested in public health, and was appointed Associate Professor at McGill University's Faculty of Medicine, where he is the current Occupational Health program Director, and also Medical Scientist in the Department of Surgery of the McGill University Health Center.
