101. Sarah Bray West: Sarah Bray Bermuda
Today's guest Sarah Bray West is the founder of her eponymous sunhat line, Sarah Bray Bermuda. In this episode, you'll follow Sarah's career from her home state of Texas, on to New York City, and Bermuda, where she currently resides.
For the past decade, Sarah has been a writer and editor in New York City penning for House Beautiful, ELLE Decor, Veranda, Town & Country, Hamptons, Beach, and more! While this was an amazing experience for Sarah to learn about and report on so many fashion and decor brands of all shapes, sizes, and styles, she ultimately grew disenchanted with promoting the over-consumption of luxury goods for a living.
In early 2020, Sarah moved to the mid-Atlantic island of Bermuda (this Texan is luckily married to a fifth-generation Bermudian!) and took some time to realign her career values and brainstorm how she could make a living around inspirational, but not wasteful, shopping.
Thus began her popular collection of beautiful sunhats made from antique, vintage, recycled, and biodegradable materials. We know listeners will enjoy getting to know Sarah in today's episode - it's one you will definitely want to share with a friend!

100. Celebrating 100 Episodes with Katie McClure: Co-Founder of Mirth
This week we celebrate our 100th episode with guest, Katie McClure of Mirth.
We are so grateful to our wonderful listeners who come back each week and have supported us since the beginning - our first episode launched on June 6th of 2020. If you would like to support HSDT you can do so at anchor.fm/howdshedothat/support. Let's celebrate!
Mirth was started by two stylish sisters (Erin Breen and Katie McClure) who have always loved a good caftan. Launched after discovering heritage textiles over the course of several years of travel and exploration, the sisters created a line of comfortable pieces with handmade fabrics sourced from artisan communities, bringing a story to each piece. Mirth caftans are meant to be worn on the beach, to dinner, and everywhere in between.
With a modern take on traditional handloom weaving and abstract block printing, Mirth's mission is to help sustain and celebrate craft and provide opportunity and ethical employment to artisans in developing countries.
We know listeners will enjoy hearing the behind-the-scenes of one of GOOP's favorite brands, the travels that inspire their designs, and the lessons Katie and Erin have learned along the way. We can't wait for you to hear all about it in today's episode!

98. Caroline Adams Stinson and Marisa Renfro: Founders of Casamia
In today's episode, we welcome Caroline Adams & Marisa Renfro, founders of Casamia onto the show!
Caroline’s original wedding day was set for Spring 2020 at Round Hill in Jamaica. Marisa was her go-to in terms of asking for fun & creative ideas for the wedding weekend as Marisa is a notorious party-thrower. Because of the pandemic the wedding was postponed, and to make up for the wedding weekend Marisa and her husband had Caroline and her fiancé over for dinner. To Caroline’s surprise, the dinner was a recreation of her Welcome Party inspired by The Ivy with a Jamaican twist, and Marisa nailed it.
From there, the wine was flowing and Marisa explained the idea of somehow delivering tablescapes to people’s homes. They started spit-firing ideas, and with Caroline’s business savviness the concept became a reality. Both of them were determined to bring happiness to people’s tables nationwide. Voilà Casamia!
The ladies' vulnerability, wisdom, and insight will encourage all of our listeners as they share their stories from their years as undergrads to the present day. Enjoy!
