THE BARDCAST - Sarah de Nordwall - 17. The Final Refuge

The song, Rooh Ka Masah can be found here: Rooh Ka Masah:The Anointing of the Holy Spirit by Hammad Baily. Video filmed @ Holy Trinity London - YouTube
We are reminded of the civilisation-building potential of receiving and responding to the Holy Spirit through the arts and ask What is God’s unique story for you alone? Sarah de Nordwall shares her poem The Final Refuge, which speaks to the urgent theme of Gendercide and we hear a call to become part of the Write for Life Academy. www.writeforlife.academy in September 2024. And our challenge this week is to write a simple but perhaps revealing List Poem - What have you given to me to do that you have given to noone else? Send in your poems and songs to sarah@sarahdenordwall.com
We can't wait to hear from you!
THE BARDCAST airs live and can be listened to on www.RadioMariaEngland.uk or digital radio in London, Bristol, South Birmingham and Cambridge at 3:15pm after the Divine Mercy Chaplet on Sundays and 8pm on Fridays. MORNINGS WITH RADIO MARIA - Pentecost Special - Oliver Fluery
Olivier Fleury is the founder of JC2033. It was in March 2007, in Sydney, that Olivier experienced a life-changing "visitation" from God, to celebrate the 2000th anniversary of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Since then, he has been working to bring this movement to fruition by 2033. Since 2017, he has devoted his time to developing JC2033.
In the programme, Olivier and Charles shared about the inspiration of this initiative and Olivier's recent trip to Cambridge for the local Ecumenical Pentecost event.
Olivier invited Christians around the world in celebrating the 2000th anniversary of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter 2033! An historic moment! Much more than an event, JC2033 is a movement of the Spirit and a mobilizing movement. It is an invitation to all Christians to walk together towards 2033, with Christ at the center. The multiplication of local celebrations will be like a tsunami of love flooding the Earth. Then the world will know that Christ is Risen!

PATRISTIC PILLARS - Fr Joseph Hamilton - 7. Veni Sancte Spiritus: Basil of Caesarea’s On the Holy Spirit
Pentecost Special: Veni Sancte Spiritus: Basil of Caesarea’s On the Holy Spirit
After battling against the Arian heresy which called into question the divinity of Jesus, the Church had to defend the doctrine of the divinity of the Holy Spirit. In this episode Fr Joseph looks at St Basil, one of the three Cappadocian Fathers who steered a straight course through the another turbulent chapter of the Church's history.
Patristic Pillars is a series on Radio Maria England, bringing the Church Fathers to life with Fr Joseph Hamilton.
Fr Joseph Hamilton is the Rector of the Domus Australia in Rome, and a priest of the Archdiocese of Sydney Australia. Prior to his appointment at Domus, he served as private secretary to George Cardinal Pell, until the Cardinal’s untimely death. Fr Joseph completed his doctoral studies in Patristics at Christ Church, University of Oxford, and his license at the Patristic Institute “Augustinianum” in Rome. Prior to entering seminary he worked as an investment banker. Having left the economy of Mammon for that of Salvation, he studied at the Pontifical North American College. A native of Ireland, he is a keen but mediocre (his words) surfer, and enjoys reading and cooking.
CREDO (currently hosting Patristic Pillars) is a programme that nourishes listeners in their Catholic faith. It airs live on Radio Maria every weekday at 4pm and is rebroadcast at 4am the following morning.
