She and Kate began discussing poetry, liturgy and gardening at the Willibrord Fellowship reading group in London and are delighted to be continuing these conversations on Radio Maria.  Kate is a teacher of Literature, Philosophy and Theology, with a particularly keen regard for the poet and artist David Jones around whom many of her studies and her teaching-subjects have been based. She also briefly worked as a gardener in London, though she now lives with her little boy on the river Exe in Devon. THE ART OF FAITH - Contemplating Our Lady Through Art

A show dedicated to Our Lady through art, prayer and song. This month our special guest was Laura Abella - a soprano singer who shared a sung performance of the Hail Mary in Latin, accompanied by Schubert's famous arrangement played by Mr Coaker.  Laura also collaborated with the students from Years 5 and 6 to add a descanto to As I Kneel Before You.  A special thanks to Mr Coaker, our music teacher, for the work he did to prepare and support this recording.  Laura then joined us for a Q&A session with the students of year 5.  This month we invited our Year 2 students to reflect on a piece of art depicting Our Lady.  The children then wrote their own prayers, which they read out in part 2.
