But if you do not know HOW to protect your choices, if you do not have an advocate to defend those choices, and if you do not have the legal documentation delivered to the right people, your chosen care may not be administered and your wishes not respected.In this episode we talk with Laura Bartlett, founder of www.hospitalhostagehelp.com and ourpatientrights.com, who has been on a "no-profit mission" to help others know their patient rights and how to advocate for them. It seems our educational model is more "memorize and regurgitate" over "analyze, ask questions, challenge, and understand". So we invited an educator in critical thinking skills, Kathy Gibbens, host of the "Filter It Through A Brain Cell Podcast" where in 5 minute segments she teaches parents and their children how to think critically.
