Pod Practice

Today’s episode is all about offense with Fury standout, Dozer (Shayla Harris). Specifically attacking from the flat side of the field. You might also hear team’s call it the “wide side” or “big side.” We talk about why it’s important, how it’s different form the trap side, and Dozer educates us on how Fury attacks that part of the field. We also talk about spacing, challenges, different approaches, and read progressions. Daan De Marrée is back to back European Champion with Mooncatchers and the 3 time reigning European Player of the Year. Now, after a run to finals with Machine, he is also the US Club Player of the Year, and the first player to be awarded POTY by Ultiworld in both Europe and the US. His stat line at US Nationals: 20 goals, 24 assists, and 4 blocks without turning the disc over a single time. A 20/20 Nationals performance is unheard of. To do it without a single turnover on a finals team is just mind boggling.At just 24 years old, Daan has a lot of pressure on his shoulders. He's already has more experience dealing with pressure than most 15 year veterans.
