Interview Sessions Ep 25 with Nahla Summers
Episode 25 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions was with Nahla Summers, coach, speaker, author, podcast host and founder of Sunshine People.
I found this conversation hugely inspiring and hope you will too.
Nahla sadly lost her partner unexpectedly in his early 40’s and I felt privileged to hear how Nahla not only coped during this time but used it as a way of living her life to the fullest since.
I enjoyed hearing how she is on a mission to spread kindness and also help develop emotional intelligence in young people and WHY these things are important to her.

Ep 24 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions was with Anna Kaszycki world rowing champion and purpose driven entrepreneur 🏆
During our interview, Anna talked about how she developed the mindset of a world champion.
She also talked about how before she could lead a team she first had to learn how to lead herself.
I particularly liked the bit where Anna talked about the importance of doing something you love and the difference this can make in terms of how you show up.
Anna is now on a mission to empower the next generation and is the host of the Aspire to Greatness podcast which you should go and check out.

Heart Felt Motivation - Belonging
I've always wanted to do a Fearless Motivation inspired track. I also wanted to mark the anniversary of a difficult period in my journey and reflect on the amount of growth you can have in a year.
In this podcast I combine the two in what I called Heart Felt Motivation. No notes and speaking from the heart on the topic of belonging.
I'm constantly seeking to push my comfort zone and aim to add some value in the process.
I'd love to know your thoughts.
Much love
Ryan

Interview Sessions Ep 22 with Jonathan Darling
Ep 22 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions was with Jonathan Darling from Engage The Heart ‘an ordinary guy trying to make an extra-ordinary impact’.
Jonathan spoke with such passion and I loved hearing him speak. He is an ultra marathon runner, leadership speaker and self branded ‘Heart-repreneur’
I love Jonathan’s view on leadership which is all about making a positive difference in the lives of others and to him, being a heart-repreneur means he connects with the hearts of others, leading with love to build self belief and purpose.
We also took a dive into the mindset of ultra marathon running and becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable.
We also touched on community support and I love what he said about his own journey. By putting fear to one side and showing up, putting out what he believes, the right people have come into his life. This is something I can wholeheartedly relate to.
This interview was a lot of fun and I have a lot of love for JD.

Interview Sessions Ep 21 with Loni Kolek
Episode 21 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions was with Loni Kolek, Head Coach of the Lady Raiders Volleyball Team.
In this interview we talked about leadership and culture.
Loni and I first met through our joint appreciation of the @allblacks culture described in the book #Legacy by James Kerr.
It was great to hear about how the Lady Raiders have focused on leaving the jersey in a better place this year.
We also touch on building trust, holding each other accountable and developing growth mindsets.
It was a great talk and if you are a leader of a business team or sports team, hopefully there will be something you can take away and implement in your own journey that will help you and those around you be always better than yesterday 💙

WE ARE ONE
This week the WE ARE ALWAYS BETTER THAN YESTERDAY community turned ONE!
I started the community a year ago as a safe space for people (especially me) to come and be themselves, be inspired and the opportunity to be inspiring.
A community of likeminded people who believe in developing themselves and others to being better than they were yesterday.
I shared that in one year, we had 346 members who had asked to join (no spam adding!) of which 90% were active in the last week. This tells me its providing a meaningful space people want to come which I love.
We span 10 countries and the connections between our members has been truly special to watch.
We had 33 WHY Wednesday’s, 29 Mentor Sessions, 2 WHY workshops, 2 book reviews, 1 group HIIT and 1 live find your WHY Session.
As I tried to thank the awesome 40 contributors, I was flooded with emotion. Truly grateful and blessed to be surrounded by some of the most incredible human beings I’ve ever connected with.
I shared my personal highlights and growth in the year and was joined live by lots of our members who did the same.
It was the best feeling ever. Words can not do it justice. I am truly thankful to the community and am excited to see the people we become by being always better than yesterday.
You can grow at lot in a year 💙
