Happy Jack Squirrel races to a tree of hickory nuts before his cousin Chatterer does. They engage in a heated chase, with a striped chipmunk seizing the opportunity to collect nuts while they fight. In the end, they discover the nuts have disappeared and Peter Rabbit reveals a chipmunk took them.

 Christmas under the Snow is a story about a family preparing for Christmas. Mr. Barnes was making his last trip to town before Christmas to pick up the last things the family needed. Mrs. Barnes sees that there is a storm coming and worries about her husband making it to town and back safely. Mrs. Barnes and the family get the house ready to make it through the storm never expecting that they would get as much snow as they do.
