As we celebrate Father's Day, we acknowledge the current leadership crisis in our world, and in this teaching, we see how we can revive biblical leadership by following the three guiding principles demonstrated by Paul in Acts 20:1-16. These principles include putting others first, prioritizing encouragement towards others, and investing in the next generation.

In this podcast episode, we will discuss the final part of a four-part series called Generous. This series focuses on understanding what it means for us to have a generous God and become a generous people. In the previous episodes, we were reminded that everything belongs to God and were shown how God provides for us. Last week, we were called to excel in the grace of giving for various compelling reasons. In this episode, we are reminded that the main focus of the Church is not fundraising or even doing great and wonderful things in the world; it is Jesus, who He is, what He has done, and what He has called us to. The call to discipleship is uncomfortable, easy, or even possible without denying oneself, taking up the cross, and following Jesus. In the passage from Luke 16:1-14, Jesus exhorts us to use our wealth to love people, pursue true riches, and choose who and what we serve. This episode challenges us to ask ourselves where we are with our commitment to follow Jesus and encourages us to listen to His heart for us concerning money and possessions.

In this teaching, we discuss one of the main topics in the church: giving and tithing, seeing the reasons to give, both bad and great. The teaching references biblical passages that discuss giving, including tithing before Jesus, after Jesus and most importantly, in Jesus.
