Ep 137: Personal Growth Update August 2019

Every month, I record a personal growth update to help you get a feel for what personal development is *really* like when you’re on the journey (hint: it’s not rainbows and butterflies when you’re doing the real work).  This month has been an incredible one. I also officially started working full-time in my business and learned how to be productive from home. When I returned from the States, I got back into my exercise habit seamlessly (I’ll tell you how in this episode) and  Tune in to hear what I’ve been getting up to, what I’ve been working on behind the scenes and some personal development inspo. I hope you find it helpful! Ep 136: What Would This Look Like If It Were Easy?

Until recently, I believed that success was hard. And that if it wasn’t hard then it wasn’t deserved.  But success doesn’t have to be hard. In fact, for the majority of us, the only reason that success is hard is because we’re overcomplicating it! In this episode, I’m sharing a powerful journaling prompt that will help you create clarity and get out of your own way. I also dive into the hesitations that perfectionists have when using this question and make a few important distinctions that’ll make this question your new best friend. In This Episode You’ll Learn: The best question to ask yourself when you’re starting a new project or habit The two biggest reasons perfectionists overcomplicate their lives How perfectionists use complexity as an excuse not to take action Why so many of us believe that we don’t deserve success unless we worked hard for it The difference between ease and comfort A powerful journaling strategy How to use this journaling prompt in your everyday life Featured In The Episode: Perfectionists Getting Shit Done - Join the waitlist here Tim Ferriss Episode 19: 3 Questions That Changed My Life Episode 93: Pursuing Your Potential Versus Protecting Your Potential

Ep 131: How To Eliminate All-Or-Nothing Thinking

One of the biggest signs that you have a perfectionist mindset is that you have an all-or-nothing approach to life. This means you’re working out perfectly or you’re not working out at all. You’re meditating every day of the week or you’re not meditating at all. You’re taking massive action to build your business or you’re not taking any action at all. To escape the all-or-nothing mindset, there are a few important things you must do. One of those things is creating a growth mindset, which I’ve spoken more about in Episode 41, Episode 57 and Episode 100 of The Perfectionism Project. But something else that’s incredibly important is ditching all-or-nothing language. In this episode, I’m sharing how to notice your all-or-nothing language and what to say instead. I hope you find it helpful!
