In this extra-long edition of Ali Plumb's Film Club, the utterly wonderful Arielle Free stops by to talk about Groundhog Day, everyone's favourite time-loop comedy about weather prediction starring Bill Murray. Come on, let's all admit it. With SO MUCH to discuss in this secretly deep, surprisingly emotional, worryingly relevant movie, it really is a super-sized chat. In a good way!

So! Pixie (currently in UK cinemas) is a Tarantino-ish, In Bruges-y comedy-thriller-heist-road-trip-adventure set in rural Ireland, and it stars Olivia Cooke and Ben Hardy - and hey, what do you know? They spoke to Ali for this particular Sunday interview special, and you're about to press play on it. Ah, go on, go on, go on. They're good fun and you'll have a great time. Lovely stuff.

On this week's Friday episode of Radio 1's Screen Time, Ali tackles the news on his todd, touching on Jared Leto's potential reappearance as The Joker in the new Justice League... thing, as well as Disney's trailer for their new movie Raya And The Last Dragon. After the headlines, we have BBC Radio 1's very own Matt Edmondson for 'Ali Plumb's Film Club' where - shock twist! - we talk about Jim Carrey classic The Mask and not (as previously advertised) Being John Malkovich. Ali couldn't handle the existential angst, it turns out. Now we know.

Daphne du Maurier's classic novel Rebecca has been adapted once again by Ben Wheatley, and in honour of its release on Netflix (and select cinemas) on October 21st, Ali spoke to its charming stars, Lily James and Armie Hammer, about tackling a story that previously won the Best Picture Oscar for one - checks notes - "Alfred Hitchcock". Never heard of him either.

Ali Plumb's Film Club continues apace with '71, the tense thriller from Yann Demange that Ali's been banging on about for seemingly ages now. Newsbeat's very own Steffan Powell pops by to chat about the latest movie and TV news (as well as '71, of course), with everything from Coming 2 America to His Dark Materials up for discussion.

Riz Ahmed is one of those brilliantly gifted writer-actors that is always worth watching. His latest, the heartfelt and close to home Mogul Mowgli is currently screening at the BFI London Film Festival before hitting cinema screens nationwide on October 30th. Here he talks to Ali about the parallels between himself and his Pakistani-British rapper Zed in the film, touching on the legacy of Four Lions and a whole load more.

Ali Plumb's Film Club is back! I, Tonya is being discussed at length this week, with Radio 1's very own Clara Amfo coming along for the ride.
