Prior to his work with incarcerated men, he spent years working with sexual abuse Survivors, and treating Severely Emotionally Disturbed adolescents in group homes and within the largest intensive psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for troubled youth west of the MIssissippi.When Jon is not providing professional therapy or podcasting, he serves in an advocacy role, toward helping increase safety for vulnerable women and minors, who are being placed in harm's way by those pushing dangerous ideologies, public policies, and legislation. Jon has been doing a series of extremely valuable episodes on ‘The Imagination’ around the topics of therapy for survivors, what to expect going into therapy as a survivor, working with patients with dissociative identity disorder, the path to healing for wounded warriors, and most recently - learning about a survivor’s internal system through a brilliant presentation he created that we will be diving deeper into today. This series has gotten such incredible feedback and has become a valuable resource for survivors, therapists and advocates to learn about the intricacies of complex trauma and the appropriate routes to take for healing and getting help. That episode was one of the most ground-breaking interviews I’ve had the opportunity to do as a podcast host and I can’t thank Israel enough for making that interview possible!Born in Baltimore, Israel dealt with both bi-polar disorder and child sexual abuse in his life which resulted in him on the spectrum of dissociative disorders. After not finding therapists who were able to identify either of these issues and help him heal, and having been trained himself as a family therapist, I developed my own healing method based on automatic drawing and the deliberate taking back of projections - and through this process his unconscious shared with him many incidents of abuse. He has so far discovered that none of these instances were in his family, but has a range of other setting where abuse took place including a synagogue, Hebrew school, boat trip to Israel, and a summer camp in Israel. He believes he is being protected from uncovering additional layers.In Israel’s training, there was no mention of dissociative disorders, and MPD was considered so rare that students were unlikely to meet such a client. After numerous MPD clients came his way, he found them to be amazing - and in meeting the challenges they posed, he went through numerous transformations of his own consciousness. It was in fact this work that opened the gates to the memories of his own childhood trauma. It also led to efforts to open a recovery center that would highlight the contributions of survivors to one another's healing. It would be many years before this vision would be implemented in Israel by another survivor.For numerous reasons, Israel left the practice of therapy in 1996 and brought he insights to bear in social change work in the area of mental health and disabilities. These have been documented in numerous articles and books that he has co-authored. Over a period of over 20 years he has developed - together with a colleague named Victor Friedman, an approach to individual and social development called “Self-in-Field Action Research”. This work is grounded in the work on field theory initiated by the social science pioneer, Kurt Lewin, who died in 1947. Dana could have easily stayed behind closed doors and studied on her own or could have shut the door altogether. But instead, she devotes endless hours of her time to researching these hard topics and puts her face and name on display on her YouTube channel, @Rotting Jewels, where she goes live a couple times a week offering a safe space for others to come learn as she discusses her latest research in real time in a series of progressive episodes that build on one another. Particularly interesting about Dana’s research is how she’s connected some important puzzle pieces as an advocate and researcher and as someone with nothing to gain and everything to lose from sharing. Her research heavily centers on exposing the people, religious bodies, organizations, and foundations that have quietly been working overtime behind the scenes to silence the same satanic ritual abuse survivors you all know and listen to on this show. We are going to be diving deep today into the realm of the Process Church of the Final Judgement, the False Memory Syndrome Foundation, as well as exposing some key players who have been largely responsible for the silencing of victims and therapists' whistleblowing about satanic ritual abuse - including someone many of you may know by name: co-founder of The Satanic Temple, Douglas Mesner aka: Lucien Greaves. For decades, there has been a movement to silence information about SRA reaching the masses beginning with the propagandized Satanic Panic - which we covered in depth in a previous episode I did with the amazing Jaymee Jay. Dana’s work is important because it brings awareness to the history and evolution of the satanic panic as well as helps us to identify lesser-known culprits and organizations that have been quietly waging a war against survivors behind the scenes and unbeknownst to many of you listening. In order to know how to defeat our enemies, we must first call them out and identify them. And Dana does just that. She is fearless, raw, honest, and works with unimaginable integrity and courage. On today’s episode we will be honing in on one of these spiritual gifts in particular that has interested many of you and me - and this is the phenomenon of psychic abilities. Joining us today to discuss this topic is: Rachel Vaughan, Max Lowen, and Doug McIntyreThe interest to create this panel began when Rachel mentioned something in her episode testimonial on ‘The Imagination’ that sparked a lot of attention within the community - central heterochromia. This topic alone opened up so many eyes and ears in potentially helping to answer a question that all survivors and ‘chosen ones’ ask, which is: “Why me?”. And I believe these 3 amazing warriors are on the cutting edge of researching how to best answer this question which not only can help survivors take their power back - quite literally, but can also serve to help society as a whole in understanding the miraculous capabilities of the human body, mind and spirit that are all but stripped from modern day education systems. Psychic abilities often get written off as as being fake, a conspiracy or even ‘New Age’ - thanks in part to the people who exploit this gift and use it for personal gain in society at sketchy little ‘Psychic Shops’ as well as within mainstream media which has largely positioned special gifts to exist only in fiction movies and Marvel characters. But what you’re going to see today, is that the truth is, indeed, stranger and more amazing than fiction. Humans literally have inherent capabilities that are superhuman in nature and these child abuse systems know this and seek it out in children. The problem is that these gifts end up being exploited and used to push evil agenda’s in these systems instead of learning how to cultivate and use them for the purposes God intended.
