Dr. Mark Goodacre is the Frances Hill Fox Professor of Religious Studies at Duke University, North Carolina, USA. He earned his MA, M.Phil and DPhil at the University of Oxford. His research interests include the Gospels, the Apocryphal New Testament, and the Historical Jesus. Goodacre is the author of four books including The Case Against Q: Studies in Markan Priority and the Synoptic Problem (Harrisburg, PA: Trinity Press International, 2002) and Thomas and the Gospels: The Case for Thomas's Familiarity with the Synoptics (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 2012). He is well known for creating web resources on New Testament and Christian origins, including his podcast, the NT Pod. Goodacre has acted as consultant for several TV and radio programs including The Passion (BBC / HBO, 2008) and Finding Jesus (CNN, 2015-17). Are we living in the end times? Are the signs of Jesus coming evident in todays world events? Often, someone who is considered a "true prophet" by some people is simultaneously considered a "false prophet" by others, even within the same religion as the "prophet" in question. In a wider sense, it is anyone who, without having it, claims a special connection to the Deity and sets him or herself up as a source of spirituality, as an authority, preacher, or teacher. Meet Dean, I must say up front that Dean has a completely different worldview than Derek and you can easily detect this during the interview. Dean believes in the spiritual and once stayed with AJ for 5 days in Texas. He liked AJ's teachings but was eventually shunned like a Jehovah's witness from the community. Is Aj lying about being Jesus or is he delusional and actually believes this? Every chance he has to prove he is Jesus he has an excuse. All he would need to do is perform a miracle or do something extraordinary, but he claims to not have reached the 8th level in the spirit world to connect him with his father in order to perform miracles. Jesus (AJ) & his wife (Mary Magdalene "Luck") will no longer come onto MythVision Podcast (Their choice) and now want to have their cult members go into the comment section of these videos to defend their delusional teacher. AJ has had more than one woman he has called Mary Magdalene. At first I thought this guy was harmless and I did very little research on him prior to bringing him onto MythVision initially, but with his passive aggressive attitude and Psychoanalyzing of peoples intentions through emails, I have decided to investigate into this cults past. It appears he isn't as innocent as we all thought. His cult followers know only what they see in front of them now. They don't see the manipulation and relationships that he has helped break up. They have no clue about the girls he was seeing prior to Mary Luck and was calling them Mary Magdalen too! Critical thinking goes out the window for them just as Mormons with Joseph Smith, Jehovahs Witnesses with the Watchtower, Scientologist with L Ron Hubbard and every cult that can be imagined. This interview allows for one of AJ's earliest members (listeners of his teachings) who was there towards the start. Divine Truth is just another New Age emotional, inner child, law of attraction cult with the added "I'm Jesus Stick". You will find the followers of his cult most likely in the comment section playing the game of "your intentions are not good" by trying to psychoanalyze my intentions. What if my intentions are to trying to expose him at this point because of how he revealed himself through emails which red-flagged his passive aggressive control of people. He is a great manipulator and maybe it is my duty to point out those issues. If someone runs around claiming to be Jesus but backs it up with nothing its absolutely fair to assume they are lying or delusional.
