Care/Don't Care: Chiefs, Ravens, Buccaneers

Matt Harmon is joined by Yahoo’s very own Terez Paylor to talk all things football on the latest episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast!First up, Matt and Terez discuss new Patriots quarterback Cam Newton grabbed some attention after video footage of him in training camp was shared, and it seems the dual-threat QB is already injecting his energy and attitude into the Pats organization.Next, Matt and Terez highlight some fantasy team previews that need further investigation — specifically, discussing what they don’t care about those teams. These include: Not caring about the ancillary pieces in the Kansas City Chiefs’ passing game, not caring about the “lack of continuity” on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and not caring about statistical regression in the Baltimore Ravens’ offense.Remember to stay tuned to the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast, which will now have FIVE new episodes per week! Salary cap draft strategy (plus Moss vs. Singletary & low grades on the Bengals)

Andy Behrens is joined by Kate Magdziuk of Rotoworld and the BallBlast podcast to talk salary cap draft strategies and the new-era Bengals (and more) on the latest episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast!Andy and Kate discuss some of their favorite strategies for Salary Cap Drafts. Should you go stars-and-scrubs or try to take a more balanced approach? What about saving some money for the end of the draft? Is that a good strategy to beat out your opponents for some $1 and $2 lottery picks or is it a waste of money that would be better used at the top of the draft? (3:30)Later in the podcast, they discuss a few interesting players who might be on your draft board including rookie Indianapolis RB Jonathan Taylor, and a pair of 2019 breakout WRs in Tennessee’s A.J. Brown and Jacksonville’s D.J. Chark. (19:25)Kate, admittedly a Zack Moss truther, sings the praises of the rookie RB out of Utah and how he could fit nicely into Frank Gore’s goal-line opportunist role for the Bills. With his Buffalo teammate Devin Singletary going about 75 picks ahead of him in Yahoo drafts, should players take a flyer on the first-year rusher? (30:30)Finally, Andy closes out the pod asking Kate about her low grade on A.J. Green (who injured his hamstring today), Tyler Boyd, Joe Mixon and the Cincinnati skill players. Does the Cincy hate extend to rookie QB Joe Burrow, who Andy expects to have a monster year? (38:55)Remember to stay tuned to the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast, which will now have FIVE new episodes per week! Follow Andy: @andybehrensFollow Kate: @FFBallBlastCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Greg Jennings on WRs poised to break out — with the right play calling

Matt Harmon is joined by none other than Super Bowl champion and two time Pro Bowl wide receiver Greg Jennings to talk this unique NFL offseason on the latest episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast!Matt and Greg discuss the effects of this offseason and how a truncated training camp could impact players getting ready for the season, and why not all rookie WRs will be at a disadvantage to put up big numbers in their first season. (Spoiler alert: it's all about good coaching)Along those same lines, one thing we've talked a lot about is the importance of “continuity” and coaching this year, that teams that have had an established roster and coaching staff with low turnover might be better suited for this upcoming season with limited practice time. Matt and Greg discuss the receiver corps in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Houston, and how good play design could open up their offenses and lead to potential fantasy value. And in an ode to off-season news reports, Greg Jennings tells us how he got into the 'best shape of his life.' But seriously, Greg discusses his post-retirement bodybuilding career. It’s rare that an athlete retires ... and gets into even better shape.Remember to stay tuned to the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast, which will now have FIVE new episodes per week!Follow Greg: @GregJenningsFollow Matt: @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information. Draft Guide: Running Backs (plus the insane 'zero RB' strategy)

Andy Behrens is joined by fantasy analyst Denny Carter of Rotoworld to talk running backs and much more on the latest episode of the Fantasy Football Forecast! Here’s the plan for this week: Every day, we’re dedicating an episode on draft strategy for the big four positions in fantasy football: Quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, and tight ends. We already KOed the QBs, now Andy and Denny tackle the most important position, the running backs! For most people, taking a running back with your first-round pick is a no-brainer. Seven-plus players in most analysts’ first-round rankings are usually running backs. That said, the Zero RB strategy has gained momentum in recent seasons. Andy and Denny kick off the podcast discussing how to execute a proper Zero RB draft along with its pros and cons. (1:50)Diving into the different tiers of RBs, Andy & Denny discuss who they consider the top backs behind Christian McCaffrey, the pitfalls of drafting Derrick Henry and at which point in the first round should you start considering a wide receiver like Michael Thomas instead. (11:00)Overall, there are around 14 running backs being drafted in the top 25 picks of Yahoo drafts, among those names like Miles Sanders and Austin Ekeler. Who among that tier should you absolutely reach for or definitely avoid? (16:00)Moving onto rounds three through six, there are a minefield of backs like Mark Ingram and James Conner, which names in this class are worth spending that draft capital on? (25:50)Lastly, the guys close out the show discussing some very late round options for those Zero RB vultures out there (33:05) and throw some cold water on the very unproven Antonio Gibson in Washington.
