Declan McKenna (2020)

British singer-songwriter Declan McKenna first made waves back in 2015 with the song 'Brazil' and his sharp pen and catchy melodies continue to turn heads (and ears) to this day.  His latest album, Zeros (2020), made it all the way up to the 2nd spot in the UK charts and we had an opportunity to catch up with him to talk all about the album, the Social Dilemma documentary, happy accidents, observing the world, his favorite lyric on the album, and a lot more. I've spoken to Declan on numerous occasions before, and the one thing that really strikes me about him aside from his general friendliness, is that despite the substantive subject matter of his music he doesn't seem to take things too seriously, music is and has always been all about fun for him. By: Robin HignellSupport the showThank you for listening! Oh Wonder (2020)

I first got the chance to speak to English alt-pop duo Oh Wonder after they released their hugely popular self-titled debut album back in 2015. We spoke with Josephine and Anthony  a second time at the Pinkpop festival in the Netherlands following the release of their second album Ultralife, and we got to explore their musical and personal lives even more. In this third interview, just before the whole Covid-19 thing, we talked about their third album No One Else Can Wear Your Crown.  As you talk to people more often you begin to form trust, and in this third interview we delved evend eeper, exploring subjects like imposter syndrome,  what it is like to spend so much time together, not really wanting to be famous, interpreting music in many ways, how they wanted to step up their live shows, and a lot more! By: Robin HignellSupport the showThank you for listening! Adele (2008)

Back in 2008 we were extremely lucky to get an interview with then 19 year old Adele, just as her star was on the rise and she had released her first album 19. Obviously nobody knew exactly how big her voice and music would become, and the ridiculous levels of success she would rise to. That's partly why we really like this interview, because it shows Adele as who she was at that moment in time, how she thought about her music and where she wanted to take it. We spoke about the album, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald, songwriting, being just like anyone else, and a lot more! Support the showThank you for listening!
