Remaining genuine and his love for the craft are what has allowed him the opportunity to work with an incredible list of collaborators. Whereas he still is producing/songwriting, his focus is on continuing to build his career as an artist. In addition to music, James is a prime example of thinking bigger than just music and has multiple revenue streams. In this episode of the One More Time Podcast, Christo talks about JID's next album, DJing at Coachella, studio sessions with J. Cole and more! Christo is a platinum record producer and DJ out of Pittsburgh, PA (also brother to former podcast guest Benji.). Like many producers, he got his start making beats for himself when he was rapping. Realizing production was his true calling, he has tons of credits but is best known for helping JID cultivate the iconic sound that has him at the top of the charts. Since he and JID have such great chemistry, Christo has also been tasked with DJing for him and helping ensure the energy is topnotch at every show. Ben Reilly is a Brownsville, NY native who relocated to Atlanta in high school. Growing up with parents and cousins who rapped, he has always been a student of the game. After moving to the A, he surrounded himself with other creatives and started the group Abstract Media. There is healthy competition amongst the group and to Ben it is like "steel sharpening steel". When the pandemic hit, he shifted gears and worked on his solo project "Freelance". Whereas he doesn't want to call it a concept album, the attention to detail and consistency with certain themes throughout the project will have real music lovers drooling.
