It was an honor to have Dr. Natasha Winters on the show. She came highly recommended by our former guest Alison Gannett whose body is right now healing from brain cancer. Dr. Winters is the author of The Metabolic Approach to Cancer: Integrating Deep Nutrition, the Ketogenic Diet, and Nontoxic Bio-Individualized Therapies If you haven’t had a chance to hear that show I’ll put it in the show notes below. It’s really good and her story is eye opening. In that show Alison really sung the praises of Dr. Natasha Winters who has helped turn her life around with regards to the brain cancer her body has. I pose the question in the title of this podcast, can we find the cure for cancer if we constantly are “fighting” it. I even see shirts now that say Fu#$ Cancer. Dr. Winters in my humble opinion (after listening to thousands of hours of alternative health lectures, watching videos, attending seminars, reading books, reading articles and interviewing 500 people myself) that her approach to cancer is one of the best I’ve seen. I’ve been in this field since 2003 and have consumed everything I could get my hands on and Dr. Winters really does seem to tackle all the angles when it comes to cancer. It’s not enough to focus on the emotional spiritual and still eat a diet that doesn’t support healing. It’s also not enough to completely neglect the role of emotional and spiritual issues while only focusing on the physical. All parts play a role in my opinion. It takes grit to deal with emotional, spiritual, physical and mental issues when you want your body to heal. [include file=get-in-itunes.html] We had a very interesting show with Estaryia Venus where she talked about the science of sound frequencies, vibrational energy and even a little bit on sacred geometry. These are all fascinating subjects and cannot be ignored. If we want to use all the tools God has given us to promote health and healing, it’s important to not overlook how powerful using sound can be. If you look at quantum physics and even string theory, you’ll start to see that everything at the quantum level is vibrating at different resonant frequencies. We know that people use devices like crystal osccilators, frequency generators (often times called Rife Machines) to help the body heal. When you can find the resonant frequency of a virus, cell or bacteria you can emit the counter frequency into the body to kill it. Think of fingers on chalkboard. In the same way you hate that noise, parasites, bacteria, yeast and mold all hate the counter frequency and it can actually kill them. Not sure how sound can affect a physical object? Think of the famous wine glass experiment where the person sings at such a high pitch that the sound waves themselves actually shatter the glass. Well it’s the same thing. We all work on frequency. Estaryia Venus has been able to do some really interesting things with using sound to promote health and healing in the body. We had a MARATHON of a show today. We hope you enjoyed it. Everybody in the chat room seemed to enjoy it. We went for a little over 2 hours in this show. There’s so much information to get to that it sometimes is difficult to get it all in. Kate and I were talking today about in today’s world of sound bites, news clips, commercials and bite sized snippets we feel like it really caters to a lower level audience. Think about it, how many people do you know that really work through something in their own mind? How many people think about and wrestle with a topic with an open mind in order to come to a conclusion they’re comfortable with? It’s too easy these days to jump from thought to thought without ever going deep. We know we can go much deeper on our shows but if you’re able to hang with us for 2 hours that’s pretty impressive. We had a really fun time talking today. We talked about Kate’s fear of prison and where that might stem from. We talked about how she had a fear when she was a child about having all her options taken away from her. There’s not place where freedom is stripped from you and options are taken away like in prison. We also talked about the cancer barbie doll (that has no hair…because the only way to beat cancer is through chemotherapy and radiation that’ll make you bald!) and its implications to young girls. We talked about some ways to build stronger bones and prevent osteoporosis naturally without taking drugs. We also talked about the movie we watched recently from the Hay House Summit which was called The Tapping Solution. We also joked about me being in a loincloth for some reason. That was a good laugh. We had a very interesting discussion with Meridian Grace today about all kinds of subjects. It’s funny how life turns out because our regularly scheduled guest was unable to do the show and so we were scrambling at the last minute to have somebody one. Meridian was supposed to be on right after the recent end of summer holiday but we were unable to do that and were going to reschedule. Everything in time right? Life happens in flow… It’s much more fun to live life as it ebbs and flows each day rather than being attached to outcomes and trying to always be in control isn’t it? We dove a little deeper into her work with metabolic typing. Do you ever wonder why certain foods affect you on some days and not others? Maybe you’re eating a diet that’s too damp and cold for your body type? Figuring out the right diet is truly a science. She mentioned something on the show that was quite profound. She talked about our genetic type vs our functional type. The body is very maliable. If our ancestors ate junk food and adapted genetically to that, does that mean it’s okay for us to eat that way? Of course not. People say well ancient man ate a more paleo diet so that’s what we should be eating. Well ancient man lived in caves and didn’t use cell phones all day either. How closely should we try to replicate the life of ancient man? Something to ponder. But Meridian talked about what we’re actually designed to eat vs what we’re adapted to over millions of years. We also discussed how metabolic typing affects hormone levels and your thyroid gland which in turn has a direct impact on your ability to lose weight. Who doesn’t want to lose weight out there right? Well actually me. I’m 170 pounds and work out like mad to keep whatever muscle I’ve been able to put on.:) We talked about some unique ways to ingest iodine and how to kill salmonella on the shells of eggs so you can safely eat them raw if you choose to do that. We talked also about the gut brain connection and how these two seemingly disconnected parts of our bodies are deeply connected and effect everything we think and do. Also up for discussion was the efficacy of doing regular coffee enemas. She shared her story with having colon cancer 30 years ago which she was able to overcome using natural methods (mostly metabolic typing) and coffee enemas. Please pass this show on to your friends. We talked with Mike Adams who is the founder and editor of Natural News. Kate and I had such a great conversation with him and one that we think you will really enjoy. We talked a little bit about how we all stay sane balancing life, work and business in today’s modern social media world. He asked us at the beginning how we seem to do it. To be honest I have to get away each day and do something outside of work. When it’s spring and summer I have to get away to the beach and go surfing and get in that water. When I’m in the water I feel connected to nature and the flow of life. It brings me heightened awareness that allows me to stay calm and stay present in what’s going on. He spoke about the spiritual/emotional aspect of healing. In the natural healing alternative health community things go in cycles. When I first got into this alternative healthy lifestyle back in 2003 the focus was on raw foods and a vegan lifestyle. The emphasis of healing was based in physical things you could do like cleansing the body of toxins (think natural hygiene) and detoxing. Then you started to hear about energy work, yoga, meditation and non physical things you could do or participate in which would help facilitate healing in your body. Now it’s switched back to optimizing your “meat suit” or “space suit” and biohacking. Ultimately we are inextricably tied to our family and all things non physical. There’s an invisible process that running not only the genes and DNA but also the mitochondria. We now know the mitochondria are what control genetic expression. But what controls the mitochondria? Some like Dr. Jack Kruse and Dr. Doug Wallace would say environmental stimulus like light, water, magnetism and vibration. I suspect there a layer higher than that which Dr. Kruse doesn’t speak much about. The higher layer has to do with the very interesting work that Dr. Richard Massey talks about.
