113. I’M ONLY 5’1” - Are You Under 5’5”, too? Body Confidence for my Fellow Short Women.
This one is for all my short women out there! 🙋🙋
There’s no doubt that diet culture has a lot to answer for. From disordered eating to body dysmorphia, the far-reaching consequences of the messaging that’s been shoved down our throats since we’re young can be devastating. The interesting thing is, more often than not, we’re not even aware on a conscious level of the effect that diet culture has had on our psyche. It’s informed our beliefs about ourselves and those around us in a way that we don’t even realize is happening. And I think this point is most salient that when we are discussing height.
Diet culture has ingrained us to believe that to be “beautiful” we need to be 5’10’’ with legs for days. All the supermodels and the girls we see in magazines embody that version of beauty. For someone who grew up as “the short girl”, I never saw my body shape or height presented as something that was beautiful. And as a dancer, I was surrounded by girls who had those long, lean legs. I wouldn’t go out because of how my body looked. I hated how I looked and used my insecurities as an excuse to stay in.
Today’s guest, Yasmine Al-Naimi, knows exactly how that feels. Growing up as the “small woman”, she has spent her life getting comments about her body. Comments like “You’re so small and cute”. She saw herself as short and stocky and experienced a sense of polarization of her height and her opinion of herself. After discovering a passion for nutrition and fitness, Yasmine now runs a page dedicated to helping petite women feel confident through nutrition, fitness, general mindset shifts around how their body looks and, most importantly, how it's beautiful.
We discuss why smaller women need to focus on lifting weights and strength training, how to navigate seasons of eating more and practice being confident as a petite woman. As Yasmin tells us, the key lies in finding ways to make your body work for you and give it the love and reverence it deserves. Find clothing that fits you rather than you fitting it (try the 26/28/30 inseam!), relate yourself to shorter powerful women so that will help you internalize and diversify your IG feed to find representation (celebrities like Scarlett Johannsson and Shakira are short AF and own it!).
Each of us has the choice to be a victim or empower ourselves and creating that change within ourselves will have a ripple effect. Focus on making yourself beautiful on the inside so you can radiate confidence on the outside.

112. High Achievers and High Standards
The women I work with and coach are primarily high-achieving, perfectionist, driven women and I specifically work with these kinds of women because I am one myself. I know what it means, how it affects my client’s lives and the challenges they face because of it. And I also know it comes with a shadow: allowing yourself to receive help and support, even if you are paying for it.
This really showed up on my radar in the last week with three of my clients. I’d noticed that outside of the weekly coaching calls we have in the program, our group chat had been completely silent and my number one rule with my clients is that you do not get to struggle silently. After talking to them about it, I recognized a pattern that I’d seen in so many others and myself. Their shame and ego were keeping them stuck. That feeling of “why can’t I just do this?” “What’s wrong with me?”
It stems from this narrative that we just need to suck up and figure it out. We shouldn't ask for help. We need to do it all ourselves. As high-achievers especially, we put so much of our worth and our achievements and it feels like we're going to die when we aren't achieving. We think there’s something wrong with us and our ego kicks in to tell us to stay in that zone of “stuck” because it’s safe.
When we can learn to let our ego down and embrace our feminine energy of receiving, we open ourselves up to support and know that doesn’t mean we are weak. It doesn’t mean that we “can’t” do it. It means we have big goals and we know that we can’t do it alone. We know we’re not meant to do it alone.
Our real power lies in allowing ourselves to be supported.
Allow yourself to receive help. Allow yourself to be held. Because you are worthy of it.

111. Reclaiming Your Femininity, Healthy Body Image, Sexuality
Nine out of ten women don’t like their bodies. I’ve heard that statistic so much recently and it still shocks me. It almost shouldn’t anymore because we see that message around us all the time. How to be thinner, how to get nicer hair, nicer skin, what clothes we should wear. Everything we see is about how to make ourselves look better. But what if we shifted to being better? Imagine if that 90% took that amount of energy, time and money they spend trying to fix themselves and poured it into their life purpose? Imagine where the world could be. And that change starts within us. With our feminine energy. With being comfortable in our body, in our sexuality and in our skin.
This is my mission. I believe deeply that empowered women can change the world. Through healing all areas of our lives like health, business, finance and sexuality, we get to light the world on fire. Today’s episode is a recording from a recent presentation and chat I had with the incredible Sarrah Rose as a guest at her Tantric Activation Women’s Immersion event! I am talking all about body image, healing binge eating and feeling empowered in your sexuality and in your skin.
Our bodies hold our purpose. It’s our home and we need to make it feel like our home by showing it the gratitude, intimacy and kindness it deserves. The way I tell it my clients is shifting from being the princess to the queen. The princess is waiting to be saved. She believes like just happens to her and wonders why she doesn’t get the things she wants. The queen on the other hand takes life by the horn and goes out and does the thing.
When we cultivate such a deep sense of embodying the queen and that queen energy we move mountains. And we empower the women around us to do the same.

110. Self Worth, Secure Attachment and Co-Dependency from Amber Gordon, a Therapist turned Coach
The relationships we see around us from a young age have the ability to deeply affect our core beliefs about ourselves. It affects our attachment style, our personality, our way of being. Some of the most important work we can do is start to unpack the intergenerational narratives we’ve inherited and challenge them.
We learn everything from what is modeled for us, especially in those first five years of life. We learn how to be human beings, how to interact with people, what's acceptable and what's not acceptable how to think about ourselves and how to think about ourselves in relationship to our environment. So when we start to really dive deep into the “why” behind those beliefs we hold, we can start to unpack that narrative and shift it to a place of high energy and vibe.
In today’s episode, I’m chatting to Amber Gordon, a trained marriage and family therapist turned coach. This is a special episode for me because I was a client of Amber’s and she helped me shift the generational beliefs I held of being “not quite right” and uncover what was holding me back. Through working with Amber, I realized that being “weird” or “different” is actually what gives me the power to call in my highest self. In our discussion, Amber talks about the unconscious narratives that we hold in our bodies, how these are developed through the relationships around us and the methods she uses to help her clients break free of those beliefs.
As Amber tells us, our energy is our most important asset. If we are sitting in a place of lack or focussing on what we don’t have, we are in a place of low energy and that low energy attracts more of that low energy. If we want to feel good enough and confident and attract massive abundance or build a business, we need to ensure we’re working from a place of high energy. And to do this, we need to challenge and shift those generational narratives that are informing us. We might still have the same thought but we have the power to shift how we feel about it and how we exist in relationship to it.
And remember, just because you have this initial blueprint you’ve inherited that’s not serving you now doesn’t mean that it’s your blueprint for life. You can change it. You can shift it. And that’s where you’ll find your highest self.

109. Transform Your Money Mindset
In today’s episode, I’m talking about one of the biggest parts of my evolution and something I know so many of you want to feel better about: MONEY! especially money mindset and investing in yourself. When I made my first investment in myself, so many fears and doubts came up for me… but I did it and since then, I haven’t looked back and have invested over $75,000 in myself and my growth.
Over the past 3 years I’ve been working deeply on my relationship with money, especially letting go of the guilt that used to accompany investing in myself and shifting out of the scarcity mindset and into the abundance mindset.
One of my biggest values as a coach is investing in mentors, courses and programs that help me expand, grow and empower myself and as a result, those around me. My mentors have helped me break through toxic patterns like perfectionism, procrastination, overthinking, my own sabotage, fears and doubts and insecurities, and have helped empower me to step into my worth especially around money.
Instead of thinking I had to “deserve” things, or justify “why” I wanted something, now, I realize - I can have anything I want simply because I have decided I do!
The liberation that accompanies being unapologetic about knowing we are worth spending our money on is so powerful and attracts more money and more opportunities.
We just get to decide that we are worthy of whatever we want. And part of that shift is empowering ourselves to choose our highest self. We need to decide that there is no other available option to us but the absolute best.
In this week's episode, I give you some tough love, especially around money. I’m calling you out… because once you know better you can do better!!
PS: I’m opening up 2 spots for the month of May inside my Aligned Business Mentorship. This is for online coaches who want to turn their side hustle into their full time business and want to scale to $5-$10k months, attract soulmate clients and create more freedom and impact! If you are ready to ditch your scarcity mindset and shift into abundance, flow and ease as a coach, DM me on Instagram & we can set up a call!

108. 5 Years to Overcoming Binge Eating, Eating Disorder Recovery with Alex Bynum
I started healing work because I had a f*cked up relationship with food and exercise. I hated my body. All I wanted was to be like the tall “skinny” girls, but I had an athletic build, a short torso and did not have a thigh gap. So I dieted, I restricted my calories, I over-exercised. I was stuck in a cycle of binging and punishment.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learned from the last few years, it’s that there are so many women out there who are suffering daily from the same thing. Women who punish their body because it doesn’t look the way they want it to or because they’ve got some unresolved trauma in their past and turned to food to cope.
9/10 women do not like their body, and it’s no wonder.. Society paints this picture of the perfect body that women get lured into.
Today, I want to introduce you to my incredible guest on today’s ep, Alex Bynum. Alex is a professional energy healer who owns and operates Empowering Path. She’s passionate about spiritual transformation and she facilitates ancient healing modalities that have been around since the dawn of time. Alex’s disordered eating began when she was eight years old. In response to what was happening around her, she started to not eat regularly. By the time she hit college, she was suffering from anorexia and bulimia. Like so many of us, she tried everything she could think of to heal her relationship with food (therapists, programs, medicine, nutritionists) but nothing seemed to work.
By the time she found spiritual healing, she was highly skeptical that it would help her. It did.
Her healing journey began with a two-day workshop where she learned the rituals that helped her call in energy to listen, honor and live from the higher self. After the workshop in the toilet, Alex had her incredible spiritual awakening. She heard her higher self step in to help her break the bulimic cycle and felt freedom from food for the first time since she could remember.
Alex’s journey reminds us that not everyone is on the same path and we’re always on the journey that we’re meant to be. Spiritual healing can help us step into and honor our higher selves and our purpose.

107. Your Intuition, Ending HIIT, Crossfit and Binge Eating with Emma Rawlinson
One thing that I see time and time again in my work (and within myself!) is our tendency to ignore our intuition and internal signals. It’s a story that’s familiar to so many of us. Pushing ourselves, over-training, over-exercising, all the while ignoring what our bodies are trying to tell us. And it all stems from this belief that if we get the “perfect body” then we’ll be happy and all our problems will be solved. It’s what diet culture has taught us.
My guest today, Emma Rawlinson, a Transformational Health and Life Coach based in London, has been down that path. Her journey to self-love began when she lost her dad suddenly in Summer 2019. In her grief, she tried to numb herself by throwing herself into exercise, training every single day (HIIT workouts, CrossFit, Spin classes, Bodybuilding competitions). Her body was screaming for rest but she ignored the signals and continued to punish herself. Then one day she woke up and realized that something was not right and embarked on her journey to real self-love. Her biggest shift? Trusting her intuition, not her ego.
As Emma tells us, by listening to your intuition (that “gut-feeling”) and tuning in to your body’s signals, we can harness incredible power to really embrace ourselves and our bodies. We can begin to recognize how intuition feels in our body and honor what it’s telling us. And the more we pay attention, the louder it will get. For me, I will stop and listen to my body before I do anything. Eat, workout, movement. Whatever it is, I take a minute and really tune in so that I am honoring my needs and showing as my best self possible.
You already have all of the power and magic inside of you to honor yourself. Start by practicing embodiment, breathwork, and meditation. Hold onto that vision of your future self until your body catches up!

106. Calling all People Pleasers and Women Who Feel Guilty for Putting Themselves First
As women, we are rewarded when we put other people first. We have this complex that we’ve learned from society that we should take pride in doing as much as possible for everyone else and we over-give to the point that it becomes almost a sacrificial martyr complex of “How much can I do?”. It’s exhausting. So at the end of the day, we feel passive-aggressive and upset. Maybe it's at our partners. Maybe it's at our colleagues. Maybe it's with friends. Because we give and give and give and then we lose ourselves.
Maybe you feel guilty when you put yourself first. Maybe you feel if you slow down and chill for a second then everything is going to fall apart. That’s the shadow we can fall into. When we can't show up for ourselves, when we struggle to ask for help, when we feel like we have to do it all on our own. That is a wounded place to be.
In today’s episode, I’m talking about the importance of prioritizing ourselves and playing the creator in your life.
Right now, we're experiencing such a huge collective awakening of healing, spirituality and personal growth in actually understanding who we are. We’re beginning to focus on what matters and part of that is accepting that we get to prioritize ourselves for a change. We can come back to ourselves and feel at peace and safe within our bodies. It doesn’t need to be a sacrifice.
Our life is our responsibility. When we take ownership, we get to create our dream life. Whether it be the decision to invest in ourselves, change our relationship with food, transform our business, our magic is our own. And we own it.

105. Showing Up For Yourself
Being consistent sounds hard, doesn't it? Imagine actually showing up for yourself and doing the thing and then doing it every single day/week/month/year that you told yourself you would. Phew, it sounds exhausting!
I used to think exactly that.
It all stemmed from this belief that I wasn’t good enough. I had textbook imposter syndrome so I sabotaged myself from achieving anything. My work was my life, I wasn’t taking care of myself and my external world reflected that.
After a lot of deep inner work, I realized I was telling myself that I couldn’t be consistent and that I’d never have confidence so why would I try?
The thing is, confidence doesn’t come from all of a sudden losing weight, taking a magic pill or just waking one day with it all. It comes from balance and taking consistent action every single day to show up for yourself. It’s about the how.
Today’s ep is a recording of my recent masterclass, Becoming A Consistency Queen where I share my story of how I moved from a place of self-sabotage to one of self-confidence. Tune in to find out my three-step formula that will help you consistently show up for yourself, step into your power and manifest a life beyond your wildest dreams.
And if this resonates with you, I would love for you to join me from my new 3-month program, Unstoppable University. It’s designed for heart-centered, high achieving women and early entrepreneurs who want to be wildly successful, cultivate massive self-confidence and consistency, and feel like a Queen, inside and out.

104. Consistency & Confidence 101: Master Your Health and Well-Being
One thing I’ve been hearing in my messages from you guys and my clients is about the struggle to stay consistent. You try something for a few days, then “fall off the wagon” so to speak and it all just falls apart. I get it! If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my health journey, it’s that consistency is not easy! It takes a whole lot of inner work and a deep dive into our mindset to really dig into the “why” and take back our power!
Today I’m discussing how I navigated my own health and fitness journey to find a place of balance and consistency. My story is one that so many have been through. I was unhappy with my body. I was disconnected and ashamed of it. And I started my healthy journey because of a comment someone made. I used that as fuel “get better and lose weight”. The deeper truth wasn’t about the weight though. It was about my belief that I had to be perfect, look a certain way or be thin and that if I wasn’t, then I wasn’t worthy.
My own self-sabotage is what held me back from showing up consistently for myself. I didn’t think I was worthy of what I wanted so it just didn’t happen. I was scared of failing so I didn’t try. I went from bingeing to extreme restriction, over exercising and calorie counting, thinking it was the “right” way to do it, but found myself no happier than when I’d had the extra weight.
At some point, I decided that I couldn’t live like that anymore. I wanted to be happy. I wanted to be healthy. Weight wasn’t even a factor anymore. I had to find balance. And once I started to address what was actually going on beneath the surface and realized I was a victim to food, I was able to take my power back and step into my Queen!
If this ep resonates with you and you’re in a place where you know what you need to do but just can’t seem to do it, I would love to invite you to my new free masterclass next Wednesday April 21at at 3pm ET on how to stop sabotaging, stay consistent AF and show up for your most confident self!
